Hindi knock yun, maybe you are referring to LUGGING. Iba yung knock sa fuel yun...

Maybe what he means is pag nasa maling gear (pangit shifting style) or rpm range for a given speed i.e nasa 15kph tapos naka 5th gear, may maririnig talaga na knock..which to me sounds the same as lugging kasi nahihirapan or strained yung engine.

Lugging doesn't sound like knock. Lugging is felt as a "kabayo" motion. Knock is heard.

What noises then accompanies a 'lugging' engine? I think one might hear a 'knock' or two during said lugging.

You can induce knocking by lugging the engine. Knock sounds like... knock. A tok-tok-tok sound coming from the engine. But you can lug an engine without causing it.

The sound of bad engine mounts as you lug an engine is more of a loud "TOK" sound when you engage the clutch or let off the gas.

The sound of engine knock is more like marbles pinging off the engine cover. It's loud enough to hear inside sometimes... "TIK TIK TIK"... This is different from the sound of valves, which is a "tikitikitik" that can be heard even at idle... or of piston slap or rod knock, which is "TOK TOK TOK"... like a metal fan blade hitting the shroud of an electric fan... that last sound tells you your engine is toast.

The exact same thing happens to my car. Can I just return it? Napa service ko na but after a week the same problem occurs. When it reaches a certain speed may weird sound as i step on the gas. Badtrip!

Ako rin same case may katok engine when I reach 30 above speed as I step on the gas. If this is the case can I just get a refund? If not where can we complaint? Pls help me guys cause I'm not familiar with this kind of situation. First car ko kasi to na ako mismo bumili.

Boss, sorry ha, di ko po kasi napansin na may nagpost na lawyer or something, naalala nyo san na page yun? kasi nag-transfer na kasi ng website ang tsikot, bka di ko napansin anong page yun, kung ok lang sana. Ako kasi pinakauna nagreklamo nang ganun na sound sa thread nato. di ko pa kasi nadala unit ko sa casa, masyado kelangan ko sasakyan kasi. at least may laban ako ano man response ng casa. thanks po boss.

I should've known NOT to buy first editions of anything..maybe with a few notable exemption. Mas kuntento pa siguro kung 2010 Accent binili ko kaso wala na pala stock nun na bnew. Issues like this won't help Hyundai in the long run. Baka dumating sa point na magka-recall tong model na to which is a hassle for most owners. I already got rid of my older car so balik commuting uli.

yung akin, nawala na yung tunog after the first PMS.. madalas kasi na v-power pinapakarga ko kasi may promo yung shell ngayon hanggan june 15.. 3 pesos lang yung difference ng unleaded sa v-power kaya ok lang.. plus every 1000 baka manalo pa nung sa promo nila.. hehe!

if ever someone sends you a reply, painform din ako. ill be going to my dealer sa wed kasi dami nilang dahilan. feeling ko alam nila yung issue pero tinatago nila kasi babagsak sales nila and maraming magbabalik ng unit. if they dont get to fix it within the day, ill bring a lawyer the next day. ill let you know what happens. update mo rin ako kung ma development ka na.

I don't think there are enough 2011 Elantras running around yet to say so. Give it a few months...
