The key is to find a high-wattage white bulb that is of the same type that will fit the socket for your signal light. This will be your new reverse light.

And the same is true,- find a yellow bulb that is of the same type that will fit the socket for your reverse light. This will be your new signal light .

Open up the tail light assembly; Swap the wirings; Insert the new bulbs; Put back the tail light assembly.

Good opportunity for those who are HARI units- to also modify their tail lights (park lights) to be the same as grey market units.... Note that one pair of your tail light bulbs are already double contact bulbs, and the sockets are meant to be double contacts,- so you need to buy only another pair of double contact bulbs and another pair of double contact sockets.

Pull out the lone connector from each of one pair of the sockets; Re-insert these connectors to the other pair of sockets- you now have one pair of double contact sockets from your original sockets; Replace the first pair of sockets with your newly purchased double-contact sockets; Rewire for double contacts all 4 tail lights with double contact sockets and double contact bulbs. Done!

Hehehe! Actually, di naman ako bitin sa ilaw ko. The camera is working quite nicely with the stock reverse light and is a big help, though the angle could have been better.

An upgrade of the reverse light might be a workable solution -- the quick one with a stronger LED bulb, or the ultimate one your solution.

Pano nagkasya yung H4 sa signal light area? I mean, how were you able to lock it in?

Make the hole bigger then screw an h4 bulb holder. Or you can do the easy way which is make the hole bigger and stick it in there using silicone sealant (which is how it was done the first time ). It will not look professional but nobody sees it anyway.

Agree. 45 psi should be good enough.

    Hmmm... pwede!

I assume the sockets for the original reverse and signal can be swapped without mods?

Just sharing what I saw in TGP. Hyundai's version of Alphard.

Hyundai Grand Starex Gold now has Premium and Platinum variants

    By Dinzo Tabamo — 18 Oct 2014
At a literally star-studded launch last night, local Hyundai distributor Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. introduced new variants of its popular Starex van. There are two actually, and they’re called the Grand Starex Gold Premium and the Grand Starex Gold Platinum.
The event was held at the Hyundai Parañaque West dealership, an establishment known to have actor Dingdong Dantesas one of the owners. Several showbiz personalities were seen present, most likely Dantes's friends in the business.
But to us, of course, the car is still and always the star--or the van in this case.
As their names imply, the Grand Starex Gold Premium and the Grand Starex Gold Platinum have been fitted with aesthetic and creature-comfort upgrades. On the outside, they have a new chrome grille, body-colored side mirrors, new 16-inch alloy wheels, and new front and rear bumpers.
Inside, passengers will enjoy plush beige leather seats configured for only nine people. There are second-row captain's seats that are available only in these two variants, giving their occupants generous legroom to relax in.
It is in the toys that these two variants differ from each other, but not by much. The Gold Premium spec has a 6.5-inch screen and two nine-inch headrest-mounted monitors for TV-marathon-loving passengers.
The Gold Platinum edition takes in-car entertainment to another level. Behind the driver is a 22-inch LCD screen that--get this--retracts mechanically down into a receptacle when not in use. When the kids want to watch Kung Fu Panda, the monitor raises up again via a hidden motor. It’s a little James Bond actually. A high-fidelity sound setup accompanies the retracting screen.
The prices for the new vans are:
Grand Starex VGT GLS AT Gold with Premium package - P2,368,000
Grand Starex VGT GLS AT Gold with Platinum package - P2,588,000
Those figures are higher than the most premium Toyota Hiace, but significantly lower than the Lexus-like Toyota Alphard. This is interesting positioning from HARI.
We can only imagine how comfortable these Grand Starex variants are in gridlock. Once people start making reservations, we're betting it will be a good holiday season for Dingdong Dantes and the other HARI dealers.
