I just had my '07 crdi tucson's 40k PMS today at Hyundai Alabang. Actually 39k pa lang ang reading kaso may umuugong sa makina kaya dinala ko na, it turned out to be the compressor bearing. Total bill ko P11,700++ including about P1,000 for the bearing.
I can't afford casa PMS anymore. Can anyone suggest a shop somewhere in paranaque-las pinas-alabang area which can competently service tucsons without breaking the bank?
Or can anyone please suggest tips to lessen cost of PMS short of DIY? thanks!

just also had my tucson 2.0 gas a/t PM for 40KM at Hyundai Pasig last week and i'm complaining about a noise in the compressor and a humming noise while driving at 60 to 70 Kph. casa replaced the idler bearing and magnetic clutch but the noise in the compressor is still there. they said it's the compressor assembly na which they will service after the warranty is approved and the parts is available. the humming noise is still present and they said it's related to the compressor. but i'm not buying it since when i turn off the compressor, there is no noise in the compressor but still there is the humming sound in the engine. i think the compressor noise is different from the humming noise. does anyone experienced this before and how can this be fixed?

the Shell station near SM sucat was actually my suki for my '98 Sentra's PMS until I gave it away to my parents-in-law in the province, I think I'll pay them a visit come the 45k PMS for my Tucson...

Mahal din talaga PMS ng honda. I think I paid 12k for the twelfth month PMS (with only about 6000+km mileage) of my 2009 Civic, inclusive of the rustproofing.

Hyundai was charging more than 5k for the replacement of the front brake pads of my Tucson. Will I save much if i'll just buy the pads in seiring or goodgear & have the replacement done by the friendly neighborhood mechanic?

Mine is 2006 MT gas, PMS for 80,000 km cost me about Php 23,000,This include the replacement of timing belt. According to them kaya mahal, they have to lift the engine to enable them to change the belt.

My problem is the sound coming from the wheel on the driver side, me squeaking sound whenever my humps or lubak, when running wala. Sa casa , they told be that they just inverted the bushing pero di nawala. I suggested na baka tie rod ito.. pero di pinansin.

    Fellow Tucson Gen1 Owners,

My 2007 Tucson started showing strange "left-and-right" or rather "side-to-side" vibration ... dati kasi, pag nalulubak, yung side lang na nalulubak ang apektado ng husto, and tipong up-down lang ang issue . . . ngayon e parang nagsha-shake ang buong kotse from side-to-side . . . did anybody experience this issue? if so, ano kaya ang problema at paano solusyonan?

    Thanks in advance.

ano ibig mong sabihin ng side-to-side vibration sir? at what speed? on a flat or rough roads?

if that only happens on high-speed, baka naman kailangan na ng wheel balancing yung wheel set mo.
kung sa slow eh meron, pa-check mo na sa casa or trusted mechanic baka may maluwag or sira na mga ball joints, tie rod ends or drive shaft, etc.. mahirap mag-diagnose dito lang, kailangan dyan visual and test drive sir. Or bring it to THP Grand EB (posted in Tucson.PH thread) and will help you figure out

Chief, sa low speed siya shaky . . . yung tipong konting road imperfection along makati avenue e parang left and right ang galaw niya . . . salamat sa tip . . . yun din ang duda ko kasi similar sa sakit ng Kia SHAME ko noong araw . . . turned out to be worn-out bushings . . . hmm, magkano kaya aabutin pag sa tucson . . .
