Bring a good mechanic bro to inspect it. There can be a lot of reasons for a seller to give his car area low price.

That’s about the rate of used late model Civic FDs. The earlier models (2006-2008) are priced around 300k. Check the mileage and ask the owner of the car’s maintenance record. There are certain parts of such a model that needs replacement every specific mileage period.

Kung MT vs AT with a K20, small difference in fuel consumption. Bihira yung Civic FD K20 MT kasi limited lang nabenta nyan locally from 2006 to 2008 (200 units only ata).

If you want something easier to maintain, just get the Civic 1.8L model. Its engine (R18) is still the same engine used on the FB and the current FC Civic.

why would the k20 engine be harder to maintain than the r18? what would be the additional maintenance costs it would require?

The R18 is still current and more common. No new Honda car uses the K20 engine anymore. Aside from the Civic FD (2006-2008), only the CRV 2nd gen 2.0L FWD, Accord 7th gen 2.0L, and Civic ES 2.0L (2004-2005) used the K20 engine.

No difference in looks and features. The FD is grouped into two releases - 2006 to 2008 and 2009 to 2011.

Major Outward appearance difference are the tail lights and the front grill.

For around the same price as the Civic FD but with better engines, get an 8th gen Accord (2008-2012). You can get them with the K24 or J35. The 8th gen Accord is the last Accord with the double wishbone front suspension.

in 2021 how much would you price a 2009-2011 civic manual with less than 100k odo

lets say wala ka nang ipapaayos all stock.

and how bout 2008? kaso baka malaki difference nila ni 2009 in terms of internal and external

Depende talaga sa owner yung asking price. Regarding platform, wala difference in the FD releases. Nagbago platform yung Civic nung 2012 (FB) at 2016 (FC).

Kung nagmamadali ibenta, baka 300k or less. Mayrun nagbebenta na ayaw mabenta.

As I have posted earlier: "for me"

Kasi the 2008 still have the old front bumper, headlights, foglights, taillights. Na for me, is so old nang tingnan sa FD.

Although I hate the stock 16" on the 1.8s on my 2011 FD. I still like the 2008 16".

Can you specify ano ung mga acc. Na tinangal and meron na wla sa 2008 and 2009 model?

Im dis close to buying 2011 civic 1.8s manual

Laki kc diff sa price 2008 = 330k 80k odo
    2011 370k 70k odo

    Please help me decide
    Thank you po

i would probably look at the car's price on an "as it is" condition.
i am a bit wary of estimating the modifications, as discoveries tend to be made, when one opens up a used car.

if one is not on a budget,
and one is not favoring a certain car because it has something that the other one does not have,
and car condition being just about pro-rata equal,
i would probably recommend the newer car

    then,
there is always the time-tested recommendation,
    "look around some more".

    OT,
a chedeng fan here once posted something like,
"the most expensive pre-owned mercedes benz, is the cheap one."

    kilatisin nyo pa po.
you might find something on the newer car that will lower your desire for it,
and you might discover something in the older car, that will heighten your hunger for it.
bring someone along. someone who may not be as biased as you might be.

what will i choose, were i the buyer?
    sight unseen,
    "the newer model."

    good luck, and have fun.

Ask yourself first, what will you get from all that mods? Only the oil and fluid change are essential in keeping the car running, the rest is just aesthetic.

Get the newer one. The mods you will put in the older one cost more than the price difference between the 2 cars.

And those mods are considered racy nowadays (smoked headlamps, CF hood)

Get the newer fresher 2011 car.
