Honda SIR - why ang daming haters?

we can't tell. pero for me, the safest age i can say is around 29.

hinde ko naman sinasabi na kapag 30+ ka na you cant enjoy cars, all im telling is kung only car mo lang yung honda mo give up mo na yan and get a more practical vehicle

kung mayaman ka naman and have other cars for "family use" the hell i care with your honda kahit gawin mo pa 700whp yan i dont care kasi ikaw lang naman gagamit at hinde buong family mo

yung nakakainis lang talaga is some people tries to include their family sa pagiging car-nut nila, where's practicality kung yung lip mo 2 inches from the ground tapos yung finger gap mo is -1

diba? if you want to be a "kid" again make sure to look at your family first if you think they are well put on your SUV then go on and be a kid by modding up your honda or your supercar

thats my plan if ever actually, ill have a project car and a family car ... hopefully lang lalaki anak ko soon para somehow magkaron din sya ng idea on how to enjoy cars

Kasi sa totoo lang, parang naapektuhan din ako kahit naka-ESi lang ako kasi Civic pa din siya, although I'm aware na wala naman masama reputation yun.



Even prior to this thread, I'm 25 and almost about to give up the car for an L200 Strada (yung gen-1 na box body) kaso kinapos sa budget . Pero magpi-pick-up ako for porma pa din than function (wala naman ako business).

in my opinion, just because you want a fast car doesn't mean you're still a wanna be racer. growing up means putting your priorities first before buying something that you can't afford yet or some thing you don't need. for my situation when i graduated college and went back in the philippines i could've bought an STi but instead i chose to buy my own condo, not live with my lola/tita/tito and take PUV as my transpo. lahat ng tropa ko mga di kotse at pinipilit ako bumili ng kotse instead of a place of my own, hangang ngayon they still live with their parents. 3 years ago lang ako nag ka kotse dito sa philippines kahit sa states ang gaganda ng kotse namin nag commute ako pag dating dito sa pinas. last year i could've bought a c63 here in the philippines but instead i chose to buy a better place to live with my own family. this year i could buy another car or even a nice european sports car but instead i sold my forester, put a reservation for an explorer and save up for my kids school up till they get to college even though my eldest is only 4 years old.

i want a lot of things and could buy them and deep inside me i really really want a sports car but instead i choose to save that money for my families future. does that make me a wanna be racer who can't afford a sports car? no. to me that's what growing up means, putting your priorities first and doing it instead of just planning it.

Share ko lang experience ng friend ko sirs sa isang car wash along Congressional. Naka Altis siya na na naka euro setup. Bigla daw may lumapit sa kanya na nagpapa-carwash din na naka SiR and then sinabihan daw siya ng "Nice setup, but it's slow." (Huh? LOL edi ikaw na ang may pinaka-mabilis na sasakyan! ) Sabay binanatan daw niya yung naka-SiR ng "I don't mind, I already have a 3.5 v6 at home. That's fast enough." Ayun basag ata yung naka-SiR.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on the car, in fact, I'm a bonafide member of your Happy Cars Phils. but under a different sub-group (TeamFD) but as said countless times in this thread yung mga irresponsible at mayayabang na nag-ddrive ng SiR na akala mo eh sila na ang pinakamabilis sa kalsada ang mga kinaiinisan talaga. Iilan narin mga na-encounter ko na ganyan while driving along the streets of the Metro using my FD na bigla ka nalang hahamunin kahit nananahimik ka lang. Some member pa ng ****.

Almost all car groups have their share of these types. Even in Nissanbayan before there was some concern on guys with modded Sentras who were seen drag racing and since they are free to do what they want, the most they would do is to just remove affiliation to the group by taking off their stickers para walang damayan (maayos na usapan naman and friendships were maintained). This started BTW, when SR20 engine swaps were becoming easier/cheaper to do.

No need to be affected; it's not the car, it's the driver. I'm a family guy and time and again i still use our old 1993 Sentra B13 with no qualms because there's nothing wrong with doing so. I'm not a menace to the street or to the environment since the car is maintained well and i drive it sanely.

But an nicely fixed L200 is nice if you ask me. It wont be as comfortable as your EG though but you'll appreciate it when the weather gets bad.

In connection to what Renzo mentioned, I know some EG and EK owners who heavily mod theirs but they use it as a track car and fun run car on weekends, especially when the Subic track was still open (or before they had kids of their own ). The difference between them and the guys that irritate is that the former have the resources to do things properly and throw it out at the track and are not searching for kill on the streets. They will still drive fast on the road (as a lot of us may do admittedly) but it's always within bounds where you are not endangering yourself and your fellow motorists. They also have other cars for regular use so you dont see their cars driving around fully laden at slow speed on the highways.

Another gripe: Someone please tell those rezing-rezing cars who drive too slow on the road (as in ridiculously slow) that they're not saving gas by doing that. I encountered something like this yesterday on Mc Arthur Highway; he was too slow (cruising ba yan???) and causing a small back up in traffic.

Manhid or slow talaga mga SIR owners, they thought galit or inggit mga Tao Sa kotse nila, until now hinde pa rin na gets na sila Ang problema hinde yun kotse...

Actually Wala kaming pakialam Kahit anong gawin niyo sa kotse niyo, it's your money and your life just tone down yun kayabangan na feeling racer attitude..

Do whatever you want pero Huwag magalit kung pinagtatawana kayo dahil hinde na practical ginagawa niyo..imagine buying car and use it only on weekends then commute na Lang weekdays. That's ridiculous!

Yan yung hinde ko maintindihan, kung mag-ingay yung muffler kalo mo lilipad na pero nauunahan na ko na kasi gusto ko na umuwi, take note I drive slow but I just want to accelerate to 30/40kph as reasonable quick as possible.

or yun dadaan ka ng EDSA tapos mapipilitan kang umiwas kasi kala mo traffic kaya ang bagal ng nasa harap mo yun pala ang bagal lang ng takbo.
