Basta ang good news dito: China made = cheap prices....sana ma-translate din na maging cheap ang prices ng mga parts netong CIIMO.
musta dito? 27k na FD ko. strange noises kept on coming. my problem about the tok tok sound is still there. its even worse. the engine support gap is very narrow already. the latest problem of my FD is the engine noise. its a whuuuurrrrr sound. vrrooooooom then when you release the accelerator it produces this whuuuuuuuuuuuurrr sound. im also hearing a whistling noise. honda never fixed it. its now out of warranty. i dont care if i pay as long it will be fixed. grabe sakit ng ulo ibinigay sa akin ng FD ko. ang ingay sa loob ng sasakyan ko. whuuuuurrrrr. tsk tsk
Bro, For describing your problem pretty accurately, mukhang pareho sa naging problem sa 8th Gen Civic ko.
The one you described happened to my FD and the problem was indeed the engine support. I was not yet planning to tell the service advisor about the noise and actually naunahan nya ako. He told me that my car can have the engine support replaced - for free! Even though my car is beyond the warranty period! Ang sagot sa akin - meron certain Civic 8th Gen models na kelangan palitan ang engine support after a certain KM - Honda will replace for free for affected models (not all 8th Gen Civics are affected so better ask).
The other symptom was indeed the relative loud noise (as you described above) pero this is only when the engine is not yet in the normal temperature.
They did replace the engine support and true enough the noise is gone.
I'm thankful sa SA at Dealer ko who told me about it, kung iba siguro baka pinagkaperahan pa ako. One of the feel good stories for me![]()
Good Day, Honda FD lovers and Owners!
Newbie po ako dito sa honda forum. Baka naman po matutulungan nyo ako or any suggestions. Just last friday, nakabili po kami ng 2nd hand 2008 Honda Civic 1.8S Manual Transmission.

one more po, sir! alin po ba and fuse ng fog light? i looked at the fuse box but i can't identify the fuse for the fog light for my honda civic 2008 model. Again, salamat po.
Good day, sir Gecko!
Just registered sa Team FD. Yehey, mayron na akong owner's manual. (softcopy in pdf format).
Salamat po ulit!
mga sir possible po ba mag lagay ng amp and subs using the stock head unit ng FD?
thanks
^ yes..but you need to buy a LOC or look for an amp na meron speaker level input..
Do note that the stock radio's DSP has EQ'ed out the low frequencies to match the stock speakers (actually, the DSP is set to protect the stock speakers). So even if you put an LOC+Amp and a sub, it will be very hard to reproduce low frequencies that are being heavily attenuated by the HU.
HOWEVER, there's a hack to temporarily disable the DSP on the stock radio (06-11 Civic and 09-11 Jazz).
Follow these instructions:
1. Make sure that the ignition key is either set to ACC or ON (doesn't matter whether the engine is running or not)
2. Make sure that the radio is OFF
3. Press and hold memory buttons "4" and "6" then power ON the radio
4. Release all buttons and press button "4" once
5. The display will show that the DSP has been turned OFF
6. Turn OFF the radio and turn it back ON
After the power cycle in step 6, you'll notice that the bass and treble frequencies have been extended (flat EQ). However, listening at high volumes may potentially kill the stock speakers so be careful with it.
This setting is temporary and the DSP will default to the ON state the next time the ignition key is switched off.
after 1 week, they finally diagnosed that my compressor clutch set is failing.
Happened to me too, sadly. Hoped Honda corrected it on the FE.
