Hi Sir/Mam,

costs will be low.
medyo complicado lang ang palit ng spark plugs nyan, but it's a good car.
at 80,000 km palit ka timing belt, water pump and thermostat. tanong ka over the phone sa casa kung magkano kasi paiba iba presyo nito.
as soon as you get the car, baba mo lahat ng fluids. new radiator fluid, new oil, new brake fluid, new m/t fluid (use plain 10w-30 engine oil wag gear oil).
tapos change brake pads.
total cost will be less than 5k.
you can also opt to change the spark plugs. buy the expensive, platinum tipped kinds so they last longer and you wont have to replace them as often. mahirap daw kasi tanggalin spark plugs nito... and you need 5, not just 4.

May 28th, 2010 11:26 AM #6as always, the price would depend on the state of the car, the maintenance done with it and the mileage.

May 28th, 2010 11:52 AM #7Wala po ito timing belt, timing chain gamit ng iDSI, dati nagpalit ako ng brakepads kasi halos 7 yrs. old na yung kotse pero pagtingin ko makapal pa pala yung original pads. 8 pcs po spark plugs nito not 5.
Change oil, tune-up, aircon cleaning at palit gulong lang maintenance ko. Sa suspension wala pa napapalitan after 7 years nasira lang eh yung 2 fan sa radiator at condenser.

Revive ko lang yung thread nito. just bought a City i-DSI 2005 in Automatic. Just want to ask few things.
1. What combination ng shock absorbers ang dapat as replacement? Fluid type? gas type? also the brands aside from the pricy KYB.
2. How much Casa rate for CVTF replacement? or if the product is available outside CASA? brands etc etc.
3. Since i-DSI engines uses timing chain & not timing belt, paano ang maintentance nun?
4. Lastly, my City is 2005 model & i want to install foglights, problem is walang abang, walang bracket sa bumper so i assumed na designed talaga yung model na yun na walang foglights... yung sa Jazz na older model pwede ba yung foglights nun install sa City?
Thanks

1. i think KYBs are the best brand.... And it would be the most reliable one aside from the OEMs. On the choice between gas and fluid type shocks, it would depend on the following: (a) the type of shock your car originally has (b) if you would prefer a bit of a stiffer ride than your current one. Gas types are a bit of stiffer than fluids, although they are tolerable naman. Hindi naman nakakaasar and (c) if you prefer a bit more durability. Gas shocks are a bit more durable than fluids.
2. no idea on the casa rates though.... but it can be done via Servitek...
3. Maintenance of chains would require replacement of the tensioner at around 80k kms. Para makita na din yung condition ng chain kung dapat ng palitan, but normally, it would last almost a lifetime.
4. Pwede siguro yun, depende sa installer.

August 20th, 2014 06:28 PM #10I saw a couple of Honda CVTF jugs over at the Speedyfix office.
So I assume they also offer CVTF replacements.
of course! the former was more enlightening than reading the Holy Book. mom loved the Ten...
