Will the Phil. market even get this refreshed civic FB design? Since this redesign is a product of US consumer complaints?

They should launch this as well in the Philippines ASAP. Knowing that there is a new(?) design out there will make Filipino buyers think twice of buying a Civic that will put Honda Philippines at a disdvantage. I bet people who were thinking of buying a civic but could not wait for the new design might have jump brands already. Personally, I will be pretty concerned about the resale value of this model.
if the driving dynamics and the noise insulation have been improved in the new version, that'll be heaps of stuff the philippine consumers will surely miss out on if they settle with the previous. otherwise...
the aesthetics might've improved a bit but still not close enough with the fabulous fd
there is article in topgear ph saying that this re-hashed 2013 civic will not hit ph shores.
Yep. Honda Philippines will not bring the facelifted version to the country. So current owners can actually be at ease that resale value of the current model will not go down at least for this coming year. Their decision was based on the fact that civics are selling like hotcakes in the country. However, since the facelifted vrsion is already out there, could future sales of brand new civics be affected with prospective owners holding back of purchasing one until they are assured that the design will be maintaned for the next 3-4 years. There are still rumors that Honda is just delaying the inevitable for them to get rid of old stocks and sell the new design by 2014. I am not sure if part of the plan is to dump unsold 2012 cars in the US to the asian markets.
The styling was never the big issue. It's the mechanical bits that are. All Honda needs to do is reprogram its power steering, stiffen the rear anti-roll bar and call it a day.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Still not a fan of the interior, but it's an improvement nonetheless.

the grille's better than the outdated lip, but the horizontal chrome bar at the bottom reminds me of a parker pen's clip. remove the chrome stuff to keep it clean, the rear will benefit from it the most. nice try like they did something to that interior beside using a darker crayola to anything grey.
overall it's better and it's very n.american, or they can just apply a full accord cosmetics in the first place to save them all the hassle.
really wanted to like the 9th gen (2012) civic. had 2 previous generations and really they impressed me when I got them, but just couldn't see it this time around, then this redesigned 2013 comes out. this is the civic I wanna get.
But, but... We're not getting the facelifted FB Civic.
We're stuck with the cheap-feeling "rice paper" dashboard and ye-olde-Camry taillights.
Bakit kasi ganyan. At the end of the decade ganda design then at the start of decade sablay.
if Honda Phil. doesn't release this MMC, then i'd strongly against buying existing 2012MY car and wait for this.... i'm sure by next year the Earth Dreams engine/tranny combination would be available by then....
Me too, We went to honda yesterday and tried confirming if that 2013 US version will be out in the local market sabi nila hindi daw and never will. too bad i will get stuck with this old box that I have, I really want the new revamped civic, The 2012 has alot of bad reviews and think like an overpriced vehicle, IMO lang ha, sorry for the current owners in case you see this. I hope they will come up with something better next year,
