It's similar to the first and succeeding years of the FD. Those that came out before 2009 had actually lower stance than the ones that came out 2009 onwards. It's noticeable especially on the 1.8V

D nga ganun kaganda ang bagong civic pero aanhin mo ang maganda at mapormang sasakyan kung may katok naman ang makina. IMO lang.
Not only is the Civic selling well in the US, it's one of the best-selling cars in Canada.
And the consignment brought in by Honda? Even at 1.3m, they're selling like hotcakes. Not in the thousands, but the hundreds that they've reserved have all been sold.
Once the Thai plants are up and running, the Civic should sell even better. This new car fixes all the problems of the FD... it's more comfortable, it's more spacious, it's more refined... okay... so maybe it's not as sporty, but for the type of people who actually BUY brand new cars (people who buy them to commute to work or carry their families), this is a pretty good choice.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
During MIAS, I asked the sales agent, and he said there is no problem in getting a unit. No lines or any sold out whatsoever. He said they had 20 units unallocated. The sales agent's prognosis doesn't seem to jibe with the 2012 Civic supposedly being a sell out success here.
The news started circulating amongst the media about two weeks after MIAS.
20 units unallocated out of how many?
I'm reviewing the test unit now... apparently, rumors of high JDM prices are unfounded... well... it's high, but 1.075m is not terrible, especially with the ECON mode, stability control, back-up camera, cellphone hook-up, cruise control and multi-data-screen controllers on the steering wheel. Okay, I expect leather at 1.1m, but really... that's rare nowadays.
So cloth seats, no power driver's adjustment... no in-dash TV... manual AC only... but according to the PR person, they sold 598 units in March. That was their entire allotment. All JDM. All over 1m. No entry-level models. Imagine what sales will be like when they finally bring in the Thai models, which should cost at least 100k less?
Personally... at 1.075m... I'm 50:50 on it... but the interior space, ride comfort and seat comfort (yay! They fixed those stupid backrests!), as well as the quietness and power of that 1.8 liter engine... they make a pretty good argument for getting this over any of its competitors if all you need is a car to commute in.

sa angeles,, i've seen mga 5-10 civics na,, elegant nga siya tignan ngayon,, spacious nga siya, sana fuel efficient talaga.. though the rear part looks like a camry. Compared to an altis or elantra, kung may pera lang ako, between the 3, civic all day..

Yes :D but in reality, we must weigh the money we give and the features it gives
If you really care about your money) hehe
and it started...dalawa na sila with the same problem...anyway my FD got this irks and rattle, here and there after 6 months...
"Persistant rattle on my 3 month old Civic. Seems to be coming from dashboard passenger side around or inside the glovebox or the glovebox itself (which is empty).
Only started noticing it last couple of days. Most annoying when driving slowly over corrugations or holes in the road. Anybody else getting any rattles?"
"i had the same problem. only happens when the car has been in the sun for the whole afternoon. it stopped when it cools down. very annoying."
1.3m na pala iyong bagong civic?!
i remember when we got our pearl white mica fd 2.0 s-l back in '06, the price was pegged at around 1.1m. makes me wonder how much their 2.0 variant will come out some time soon
this bit of news made me realize how time sure flies. 6 years old na din pala iyong fd namin![]()
