February 9th, 2005 01:44 AM #32this is one high tech gadget materialized 6 six years late for me..kabagobago ng revo ko non about 3 days old..we were going home coming from one school pta meeting..i missed one intersection so i backed up on an inclined street looking at some tree leaves on the rear view mirror..
pakshyet..me tricycle pala sa likuran ko waiting to make a left turn..crunch..! namutla si commander hindi sa takot kundi sa kaogags ko kabagobago ng rear fender nayupi lang bahagya..isang linggo din bago nahupa asar ko sa sarili..

Wala akong undermirror nor reverse sensor.
Yung LC II has both. The Montero and Expedition rely on sensors.

yung back-up sensors ng lancer ko minsan nagloloko, especially pag nadumihan. continous beep na lang basta nag-reverse gear ako. minsan nadadaan sa linis, minsan naman nawawala lang siya basta. na-try ko nuon nilagyan ng rain-X ok siya, kahit basa hindi nagloloko. may alam pa ba kayong ibang pwede i-coat dun sa sensors para di apektado ng water or dust?

February 9th, 2005 10:36 PM #39On E36 and E39 BMWs, the Park Distance Control sensors are drilled on the bumper plastic moulding, so you do not drill holes on the bumper itself. On some models you would find indicators where you should drill as it will have expanded holes on the bumper beneath the plastic moulding to accommodate bigger sensors. Newer models have them on the front bumper mouldings as well, but manually activated by a switch, useful when maneuvering tight parking, going forward. The new 5 series have expanded sensors that practically envelope all sides of the car, including the door areas. We used after-market ones that resemble OEMs at a tenth of the cost, and so far, they worked just the same. It has a red-outlined car diagram beeping diaplay that you can stick on the dash, and will not look so off.
