    Both are gasoline (petrol) engines, a 125PS 1.6 Ti-VCT (with a 5-speed MT or a 6-speed PowerShift AT) and a 170PS 2.0 Ti-VCT GDi (with 6-speed PowerShift AT).

    I just hope Ford Philippines won't price it like the Mazda 3. Interesting how Honda will match this with their 2.0 Civic.

    It will be made in Thailand, so it could be priced lower than the CBU from Japan Mazda 3, if pricing is close to the 3, it will most likely have more standard features to justify its price increase over the outgoing model.

    The Civic 2.0 (currently not available here) will carry over its 155PS 2.0 liter i-VTEC engine and 5-speed AT.

    The 2012 Focus 2.0 has a 170PS 2.0 liter Ti-VCT GDi engine and a dual-clutch 6-speed Powershift AT.

    I'm eyeing this car. May I ask how often is Ford's PMS and approximately how much it is per visit? Also, is the 1.6 GDI too or just the 2.0? I'm a little concerned about the carbon build-up problem they're talking about with regard to DI engines.

    this has gotta be it, I'd choose this focus over honda civic anytime.

    PMS for the current model is every 10,000km or 6 months, first 10K is usually free.
    If I remember correctly, for the old Focus Trend, PMS (including the cost of the replacemnt parts) varied from around P4K+ to over P8K sometimes when a larger set of parts need replacing/ servicing)

    Only the 2.0 is GDi, the 1.6 is the same engine in the Fiesta 1.6, but it's tuned to produce more power and more torque (125PS vs 121PS and 159Nm vs 151Nm).
