Hi everyone, finally i got my everest 4x4 last sunday, the rep told me there is no need for break in so ayun tinakbo na namin maganak sa mall of asia. Anyway here are my feedbacks (pls remember this is my first diesel suv, and most of my life i been driving honda cars).

The handling of the suv is very good, very responsive even on uneven roads. On nlex my passengers doesnt even feel my changing of lanes ayun nakatulog yung iba. Comfort wise it is better than my civic 2002, di ko napapansin small potholes and uneven asphalts. My passengers at the 3rd seat said that di nakakahilo unlike in crv 2006 and fortuner although mas comfortable talaga sa front and 2nd row seat. I think just aslong as your passenger is less than 5 6 in height comfy and 3rd row with ample leg space.
Power wise very impressive, di ko napapansin nasa 100 kph na agad suv... pinipigilan ko nalang yung urge to drive faster thinking that despite what the dealer said... some amount of breakin period is needed.
My only dissappointment is maingay ang makina during the initial start, or on low speed drive or during initial accelleration(cguro pag nasa 1st and 2nd gear yung at) pero once nakaaccelerate na tahimik na sya katulad ng civic ko. Hindi ko alam kung tuloy kung dahil di pa ako sanay magdrive ng automatic or talagang maingay ang mga diesel cars in general. Anyway yung noise is upset by the strong feeling of acceleration of the suv, malakas talaga ang hatak.
At walang direct ipod access. Ginamit ko yung fm modulator for ipod at very clear and reception much clearer nung nasa civic pa yun.
For my final thoughts for the day, overall very satifying ang ride sa everest 4x4, smooth, comfortable and powerful. On the downside medyo maingay magaccelerate initially. Also parang mahirap maghanap ng accessories. It was a good buy plus malaki ang discount ang binagay sa akin.
After thought... maraming piss off customers na pumunta sa ford pampanga kasi raw masyado raw arrogante toyota pampanga, ayaw raw magpatest drive ng fortuner kasi raw proven na raw ang fortuner. Pero if you are going to spend million plus on a vehicle wont you want to at least know what you are getting? oh well its there loss. If anyone knows a good ford accessories store pls post naman dito (yung mura rin)... excited na akong magdecorate ng suv ko.

Oo nga pala ako rin hindi pa activated yung userid ko. jun71 sana makabrowse na ako sa fordclub forum.

4x4, when you are already familiar with the everest, i suggest you take it offroad and you'll surely appreciate it a lot lot more.

you've made the right decision. Everest is strong and spacious. Also bought an Everest 3 weeks ago in Ford Cagayan de Oro. Its just your basic 4x2 mt. Torque is really impressive and off road capabilities are noteworthy. I was comparing it before i bought it with a Fortuner. Conclusion is though Toyota has better aftersales parts availability, Ford beat it in terms of space (better third row), CRDI Diesel engine (economical) & torque. Suspension is just almost the same coz although Everest uses leaf spring at its rear, its longer. Yes Fortuner, on the other hand, has rear coil spring but its short so its still not that comfortable.

As for accessories, I strongly suggest you have it installed with rear infrared sensor (standard for Fotuner). Its very useful since its really hard to backdrive an Everest coz its very long. Add to that, its rear mounted spare tires. Chances of bumping it are really higher. Actually, I find the sensor more useful than the car alarm. Ford Cagayan de Oro charges 2,500 for the sensors but i'm sure you can find a cheaper outfit. You have check though with Ford first if this will bot waive the warranty....

    Happy Everest Driving to Everyone!!!

Guys, check in at the fordclubph.com forums or 4x4ph.com (is that right) for ideas on what accessories are available for the Everest.

ingat lage pagddrive.. hehe go Ford!!! YEAH!:***:

4x4 already have a built in 4 backing sensor pero nagpainstall pa ako ng rear night vision camera overlooking the sparetire and back. ok ang pagkainstall very neat sa rear spoiler nila nilagay but they charge me 1500 sa dealer.
If anyone of you guys know how or where i can have a subwoofer install post naman dito. thanks
By the way anyone of you guys could share kung magkano yung cost ng 5000, 10000, 15000 km maintenance check up. Kasi I am computing whether worth it yong inioffer nilang free na lahat ang maintenance cost parts and service for the next two years basta bayad ako ng 48000. what do you think? or kunin ko na lang extra 2 years warrranty worth 40000? Sa dealer ko lng ba yang pwedeng iavail or pwede sa ibang ford dealer - para makacanvass or discount ako sa iba.

What i can say about the competition...Ford Everest, Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu Alterra and Hyundai Santa Fe came to my top four choices. Fortuner have a very nice interior especially the dash board but i ruled it out due to poor visibility at the 3rd seat and it's sooooo common. Alterra has a good front exterior but we did not like the interior especially the dash board. So it's all left with the Hyundai Santa Fe and Ford Everest. Santa Fe has a very nice interior clutterd with many switches and gadget additives. Has a good and futuristic exterior look and curvaceous body. On the other hand, the Everest has simple yet elegant interior especially the control panel but is very spacious inside compared to all others! The exterior has a "brusko" appeal which shows "what lies beneath"...It's engine has the most powerful torque "hatak" compared to all others and these are the things that make it my top choice!

helo poh! gud pm. my dad was planning to buy a new vehicle. 2007 everest was one of
our options and i personally chose this. my previous post (in red font) shows the external factors why i chose this vehicle. ang gusto ko poh sana malaman is what's inside... ok poh ba ang parts ng everest when it comes to durability? from 1 - 10 sana poh i-rate nung mga owners ng old and new everest... thanx poh...
