.......So finally It came down to the fort and the everest. What we liked about the Everest is it's new engine and pricetag. Plus as you said, it has a "macho" and "timeless" design which I really like. We really don't need 4x4 naman for city driving. Resale value and after-sales service nalang yung problem namin with the everest.
There's almost a 400T difference between the two, so when it comes to valuw for money.

we are very happy with our ford everest
I bought my everest in ford alabang.. maganda feedback sa fordlibis kung taga q.c ka.

    toyota fortuner ok din

Sabi mo subok mo na sa baha. How deep mo na try yong Everest mo? Haven't you notice the ECU of Everest is located above the driver side wheel well inside engine room.

It's just that the Everest has such an aggressive throttle map... a truck with that much torque shouldn't be put in the hands of inexperienced drivers with careless feet...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    eto nangyari dyan...

    harharhar!

hi guys... recently sent my 2007 everest (2.5 m/t) for its 15,000 kms pms so far ok naman subok pa rin ang duratorque power at efficient fuel consumption,

just a note for those thinking to buy... hey the everest is a mean machine and tough family car! in my case confident na makakarating sa airport kahit may warning ang pag-asa ng baha at declare ni gloria na walang pasok... not to mention na loaded ang everest with my bagahe and the rest of the family

    ciao

    two possible scenarios:

car was properly parked. driver in a hurry to leave, started engine, inadvertently shifted to D, looked to the rear, step on gas

    OR

driver in a hurry to buy frapuccino ... leaves engine running with "D" and parkbrake not fully engaged

driver already bought the Frapuccino (tall), gets in car, starts engine, shifts to D which causes Frapuccino to spill on his lap (aray!), triggers right leg to step on gas, GOOOO!

This guy at least fell down into an obstacle, dun sa kabila nothing out of the ordinary tapos naka taob yung kotse.

nasa pasay road pala ako nun nung time na may baha banda congo grill.. thanks

I went at Ford Balintawak last Tueday and I measure the height where the ECU is located it's just above my belt, I'm around 5'6" tall and according to the agent I'm talking the ECU is water resistant. He offered me a test drive and sa third row seat ako sumakay. I can't even talk to him when the vehicle is moving. I also try to ride sa front you won't a feel a thing of the bumpy ride at the back and the power of the engine is really overwhelming. I guess if you gonna buy this vehicle
better not to ride at back but the problem is my kidz is always ride at the 3rd row seats malamang mahilo lang sila doon. Pero I'm still thinking if I will get one or not.

Halos lahat naman po ng mid sized SUV/AUV with the same configuration, medyo matagtag sa 3rd row, i.e fortuner, everest, crosswind, etc. Kung medyo big issue talaga bossing yung tagtag ng 3rd row, maybe a van like the Starex is a better option. Can anyone confirm this?

as far as the comments of most "fort" owners di masyado sila concern sa bumpy ride kundi more on the brakes and stolen spare tires.
for the everest it's more of a workhorse kaya okey lang na di siya ka-class ng ford expedition

Wala pa po siguro lalabas na bago. Yung current model na out sa market today is still new, kakalabas lang po late last year. Actually, It has a new body design, although konti lang ang naiba, and a totally new Duratorq (CRDi) engine.
