Mabuti talaga I decided to get the unit na, coz b4 I wanted to get the unit in 2012. yeah, maganda black, para kang cia/fbi hehe pero check mo din bronze, not bad. white naman masyadong common na hehe!!

Good question bro. I think the 2M price is a different league kaya hindi cya ganun kadami compared to those 1.5-1.7 buyers range. Considering that it's new model, it created a small frenzy (like us) to have one soon. I myself have no plan to buy a car (4 na kotse ko eh) but yet when i saw the new explorer, i wanna have it as a gift for my self.

But then, even though i wanna have it, i am not crazy to be fooled by all these dealers scam method. Sabi ko nga, if i cannot have have it before my bday in Feb, i can let go my desire and wait until Ford run after customer to sell this explorer. Remember, this frenzy is not forever. Just like any new model coming out, after all those that wanna have it first has been served, it's the dealers turn provide freebies etc.. just to sell the car.

Sabi ko nga, all this scam is 2.3M savings for me. Until all this frenzy subside, that's the time to screw this dealers and SA. My projection is this should happen by late Q2 or early Q3 of 2012.

Guys wala ba talagang Red? Yun kasi talaga gusto namin.

Kung wala, anong unique na color? Bronze?

Pero tama ka, after some time, it will subside.

*GTS925: I like red vehicles but alam ko yung red ng Explorer is Cherry Red so medyo bright. Ako kasi more to the dark red/maroon.

*FOCUS_PH: Well I kinda resolve the left side mirror problem by just looking the small section of the upper left hand corner ng side mirror (pang blind spot ata yun). Kahit maliit lang (1/4 - 2/3 size of the whole side mirror), bearable naman. I'm still looking around kung may mabibiling replacement.
I think the Limited edition is too high tech. Mamaya diyan, isang part masira, buong Explorer di na gumana hehehe! For me, dapat manual lang yung pang fold ng 3rd row. Or maybe Ford Phil should have also brought the base model kasi alam ko yun di sobrang automated.

I made my reservation earlier today for a black Explorer at FORD EDSA. FYI, the price increase is around 24K+ effective January 1.

Do you guys have any feedback about Federal Phoenix? its their in-house insurance and it costs 70K. At FORD Q.Ave, it is 84K . Same coverage yan. Grabe no?

And oo nga pala, FORD Q.Ave has available units if you get a unit via their in-house financing, pag cash sorry ka na lang.

    Bro,

I would assume your talking about compre insurance. Here's the trick with this guys, the law only require TPL insurance, compre is more of a luxury insurance so you need not get it from them. Them you have your own insurance to handle your car. All my car insurance is covered by Standard, thus i can bargain for the best price. Actually, Standard is offering me 57K for the explorer. So tell those idiots that you'll use Standard at such a price. I will bet my balls, tatapan nila yun price, that's what i got from those idiots at ford global. So you can even tell them 50K and they will still grab it. Don;t be fooled by this SA under the instructions of their greedy dealer owners.

Don't put the blame on the SA, sunod lang sa utos ng mga may-ari mga yan.

Bro, thanks for sharing. Yes, its the Comprehensive insurance I'm referring to. The drawback if you get your own insurance is that you will be last one in their list to get a unit. I visited three dealers and was told the same thing; Get the insurance they offer and you will be prioritized next to those who avail of their in-house financing. FORD dealers are quite arrogant because of the current demand IMO. They have their own definition of the word "pila".

I guess that's partly true. I more i see it is, this is the first ever time Ford Phil & dealers had experience ang pila sa demand for a certain model so they try to capitalize. I remember, when Toyota first ever introduced the Fortuner, grabe ang lagayan if not buyer has to buy accessories to certain amount just to have crack. Ngayon, halos kung anon-anong low down etc..just to sell a face lifted Fortuner. Now is sellers market, tomorrow this idiots will be kneeling down just to sell those explo.

For those who want to be astig or first owners on the roads, it's their choice to be fooled by this scam. I called the sales mngr earlier just to tell her, let's spare each other trouble, if you cannot provide what we have agreed upon during the time of my reservation, feel free to return my irrevocable reservation. Otherwise, i will surely bring your dealership to court as i have signed document of our agreement. her reply was, she will work it out as sayang din daw order ko. hahahaha...

A relative of mine from a city somewhere in the visayas said that the ford dealership in his area doesn't force its customers to get in-house insurance. They can get the Explorer and have it insured with whoever they want. Also since they dont carry the v cool tint theres no added cost for such a pricey tint...thought this bit of news might interest you guys.

My friend reserved for a gray unit in Ford Edsa on the last week of Dec to avoid the 24K price increase. He's getting the unit this Friday (cash payment and in house finance). Let's wait and see if he will really get it by Friday!

Wow, that's one for the record. He should have magic or special someone if ever he get's it as they say. Wish him the best of luck or someone at Ford Edsa is bound to have a bad day. As far i know, the price increase will affect those unit issued/released starting Jan 1,2012 irregardless of when it was reserved.

The price increase is Ford dictated and the dealers has to implement or pass it on to customer. I think this is one reason why they did not release much units during Nov & Dec. The marketing strategy is feel the market demand from Oct-Dec. If the market don't react, price stay and orders be serve immediately. Since the market reacted positive (Ford Global alone has 100 reserve to this date) then hoard a bit and increase the price. Was informed 20 units this month is to be delivered to Global alone, how much more to others. So with the price increase, units get's to be available unlike the previous months of 4-5 units only.

Marketing strategy in the province will really differ in the metro. In the province, to sell 2.3M is already a fortune. One thing sure though is, the unit will be available by middle of the year. The reason for this is those who own the dealership in the province are the same scrupulous owners in the metro. Since it's a seller's market, they would maximize profit that is why they are including all these insurance & tint. They capitalize on the high demand by this add ons so they can profit more. So why send units in the province if there's less profit there, no way. Only when the metro market get's saturated will they provide the province the unit.

    Guys,
I have been a lurker lng here sa forum.. I just want to share my experience.. Placed my reservation for a white unit in 3 different Ford Dealerships. Edsa, Global, and Q.Ave. I believe magkakaibang group ang mayari nyan. Term is cod.

    These are their offers:
    Ford Edsa - 10/10/11
-50k Reservation, Free LTO Reg., Tint(Driver side, front passenger side and windshield), in-house ins
    -GUARANTEED by End December.

    Ford Global - 10/15/11
-50k Reservation, Free 25k Gas, Vcool Tint((Driver side, front passenger side and windshield) - free lng yan gas and vcool kung dun ka sa non-refundable na reservation. I still opted for the refundable.
    -ETA 1st week Jan

    Ford Qave - 10/25/11
-25k Reservation, no freebies, in-house ins.
-ETA a week from reservation, parating na daw ang unit.

    IN FORD QAVE:
After a week placing my reservation sa FORD QAVE, the SA called and said available na daw ang unit. pwede nang kunin. Still nothing happend. Di ko alam kung mukhang pera ba tlga sila or what. I pulled out my reservation and left na may sama ng loob. tsk tsk

    FORD GLOBAL:
    Text sakin ni SA:
11/25/11 - "6 na unit lng dadating this month sir, diff colors pa yun Hopefully we get more units next month para matuloy tyo on Jan"

01/05/12 - "Hi sir good afternoon, only 8 explorer units arrived last Dec. therefore very slow talaga ang movement sa pila. We're on a meeting now so we'll probably discuss abt explorer availability. will let you know later kung ano po announcement."

    FORD EDSA:
I got a call 1st week of December from the SA, "Sir, good news! napaaga po ang unit nyo, can pick it up by end of the week." Truly, it was released during the 1st week of December.
Comes 2nd week of December, my friend called me that he wants an explorer black color. I said na ok dto sa FORD EDSA, accomodating na ang SA nila, true to their word pa. So I told the SA kung meron pang available or kelan magkakaroon.. And she told me "Sir malaking chance by January, and guaranteed my unit kayo by Feb naman pag pumalaya sa Jan". Still i placed the reservation.... Today 1/5/11, my friend's black unit was released..I don't know how the management of FORD EDSA handles each of their SA orders, but they are doing a hell of a good Job for customer satisfaction...

If you ask me, go for FORD EDSA.
