Pero kung hanggang 2.5M lang talaga ang budget, worth it itong Explorer.
Kahit yung 2008 series namin maganda naman e. 4.0 Cologne V6 210 HP, 5-Speed A/T.

Kung budget mo pang Cayenne na why even be looking at the Explorer in the first place?
The all-new Explorer will be launched here late this year.
http://www.malaya.com.ph/apr05/auto2.htmlThe all-new Explorer has been reinvented – with class leading fuel economy and safety in its class and a number of firsts, the All-New Ford Explorer will make its way to the Philippine market by late-2011. The All-New Explorer will also be the first of Ford vehicles to carry Ecoboost technology, available in 2012. Speaking of the Explorer, it got featured yesterday on CNBC's Squawk Box with CEO Alan Mulally... One of the TV hosts wants to buy one!![]()

Confirmed FOURTH QUARTER release... Sana meron yung mga US Ford features like myTouch and SYNC...
The all-new Ford Explorer will arrive in the Philippines by the fourth quarter of the year, Ford Philippines president Randy Krieger revealed.
Ford will initially offer the Explorer equipped with the 3.5-liter engine, which delivers 290hp at 6,500rpm and 346Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. The 2.0-liter engine variant with Ford's Ecoboost technology will be available in 2012. Learn more about Ford's incoming sport-utility vehicle in "5 things you need to know about the 2011 Ford Explorer."
The Explorer is just the first of several vehicles Filipino motorists can expect from Ford. Many fans of the American brand are already looking forward to the local introduction of the Ford Ranger and the Ford Focus next year.
Under Ford Motors' timetable, eight vehicles under the One Ford program, including the Ford Focus and the Ford Ranger, will be launched in Southeast Asia until 2016.
"The Explorer is actually the ninth vehicle we are launching in the Philippines since it is not part of the One Ford program," Krieger said.
Growth path
To meet the growing supply of and demand for Ford products in the Philippine car industry, the company is also increasing its network capacity in various locations in the country. Ford established a dealership in Tacloban City and it will be followed by the opening of similar facilities in Lipa City, Naga City and Minglanilla in Cebu.
Ford is among the most active brands in the Philippines. Data from the company showed that sales from January to March 2011 are up 74 percent from sales made in the same months last year.
Sales in the first three months of the year were boosted by the new Ford Fiesta (799 units), Ford Everest (719 units) and the Ford Escape (350 units).
"The new Fiesta is helping drive significant sales momentum this year, as it continues to attract a wide range of new-to-Ford customers who appreciate its class-leading design, smart technology, superior fuel efficiency, and unmatched safety in a small car," Krieger said.

Just read in Philippine Star that Ford will have a car on display at the MIAS but they're not yet saying what it will be... ano kaya yon? Explorer? Kahit display unit lang. I wonder if the 2L Ecoboost model will be cost significantly much less than the V6.
Recall-whore???
Maybe because these models were all developed a few years back when LR was still part of Ford.
PS: Did you also know that the Evoque uses the latest Ford 2.0 EcoBoost engine even if they are no longer part of Ford?
The Evoque is based on the Freelander's platform which is a Ford EUCD platform.
Ford still supplies parts, engines and technology to Land Rover and Jaguar.
Explorer
Range Rover Sport
Hmmm.... both are white, and yes the A-pillars, B-pillars and D-pillars are black/hidden on both.... :P

Wag mo na pansinin yan AG4. We all know naman Ford now is a very different Ford from before. Even I didn't like Ford before. But I saw a lot of improvements and the company has really improved their operations. Heck I am a Ford stockholder as a result of being impressed of the business and I recently got a proxy to vote for directors. Don't worry Alan Mulally ako all the way!
Anyway just got back from the MIAS and its not quite the Explorer we wanted to see!

It was because of American parts.Besides, Toyota is beyond reproach. NASA is on their side. ALL HAIL TOYOTA!
Yes, they've improved. Drivability-wise. That's why auto-journos like them. As for reliability? That remains to be seen. Unless you build a time machine and go several years into the future...
