*Niky: I noticed in your review, the white Explorer that you tested had gray interiors? I thought they were black?

*foresterx: based on various reviews, the chief complaint is the complex myford touch? Will this be a factor to you? And I think past MyFord Touch in other ford vehicles had lots of bugs. I hope the version in the Explorer is more stable.

The test unit we had had black/gray plastics and textures, with cream leather/pleather.

MyTouch isn't actually that hard to use. I hated iDrive more... but it's certainly an unnecessary complication of what should be simple features (rear AC... you have to enter a submenu to actually turn on the fricking rear control switches... errrh... WHY?!?). Supposedly the MyTouch bugs have been ironed out through reprogramming (in the US). Don't know about here.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Not really, also i've read some where that it wasn't user friendly. But when i test drove the xplorer i played with the myford touch for a bit and didn't find it hard to use. I quickly figured out how to use it in about 5min.

Actually its not about the user friendliness of the Myford touch is the issue, is its reliability. A quick google of myford touch problem/issues will get you a lot of results (e.g. shutting down, occasional reset etc.). Another good US website for ford explorer is on explorerforum.com where there are several people reporting that Myford touch is shutting down and the A-pillar issues noise when driving a high speed

Rattling or noises i can stand, myford touch shuttimg down or resetting might be but if i can still use the radio then i probably will still consider it. As long as the car will run great and nothing will break or fall off i will still consider it.

If the myford touch shuts down, then the back won't have any aircon since, according to niky, the control is in myford touch

Based from youtube videos that I viewed about the MyFord Touch, I noticed that the touch screen has a 1-2-second lag. In short hindi sya very responsive. I tested my uncle's 300C's touch screen (don't know what it's called) and it's very responsive, no lag.

I noticed it too. I hope there's a fix for that like some sort of an update/upgrade of the system.

Got our unit yesterday. It's really nice!!!

Only thing i find missing are xenon headlamps. As for the sync, it takes a bit of getting used to but after about an hour in the car i got the hang of it

May nakita ako kanina kulay itim sa may 3rd floor parking level sa MOA, machong macho pero parang lumiit yata ng konte kesa sa lumang Explorer?

So far, Windshield Wind noise seems to be a common issue with the new explorer as i've read from explorerforum.com

    Thanks! Haha

So far after driving it for a couple of days, I'm already used to the microsoft sync. Although there's a bit of lag, I can live with it.

Here's our unit with my brother's montero

very nice! it looks a lot bigger than the monty. Have you driven it in highways like SLEX or NLEX? Im curious about the winshield noise issue.
