4.2km/L = bumper to bumper traffic (yung parang 1 hour ka sa Alabang )
    5.5-7km/L = normal city drive
    9-12km/L = highway drive

    Both Gasoline, right?

Mukhang mas maganda yung 3.5L Ti-VCT. 210HP lang yung current Explorer. Tapos yan 290HP na :shocked2: Tapos smaller engine.

Ganda ng FC nyan for sure..

    Ang tanong lang eh... magkano?

Yup, they also shaved off some weight.
The new Explorer uses an aluminum hood and a unibody construction.

    Same here.

    Current 2010 Explorer Eddie Bauer 4x2 V6
    Base US MSRP: $33,280
    Local MSRP: P2.395M

The 2011 Explorer won't have an Eddie Bauer trim that slots between the XLT and Limited models, but you can sort of make a similar model with the XLT plus a $2,500 Rapid Spec - 202A package (Leather seats, Premium Audio, SYNC, rear view camera etc).

    2011 Explorer XLT V6 FWD
Base US MSRP: $31,190, ($33,690 with Rapid Spec 202A)

    2011 Explorer XLT V6 4WD
Base US MSRP: $33,190, ($35,690 with Rapid Spec 202A)

    2011 Explorer Limited V6 FWD
    Base US MSRP: $37,190

    2011 Explorer Limited V6 4WD
    Base US MSRP: $39,190

    2011 Explorer Base V6 FWD
    Base US MSRP: $28,190

    2011 Explorer Base V6 4WD
    Base US MSRP: $30,190

*The Base trim Explorer comes with 17 inch steel wheels with covers and 245/65R17 tires.
The 2.0 EcoBoost option (FWD) will follow at a later date.

Videos: 2011 Ford Explorer shows off its tech

Unless you've been in seclusion for the past 24 hours, you know Ford officially unveiled the 2011 Explorer yesterday. (Be sure to read Part One and Part Two of our deep dive for the full details.) The new Explorer is a pretty drastic departure from the generations preceding it – Ford has opted to use a unibody construction and a car-based platform rather than a traditional body-on-frame SUV, and naturally aspirated V8 power has been ditched in favor of more fuel-efficient four- and six-cylinder powerplants.

So while the Explorer seems to fit better in the crossover classification, Ford is confident that traditional SUV shoppers will still be pleased with what the new Expy has to offer. There are a host of new technology features on the 2011 model, including things like blind spot monitoring, trailer sway control and a terrain management system (similar to what you might find on a Land Rover). These features will be attractive selling points to SUV-oriented customers, and they get detailed in the videos after the jump.

I wonder how they managed to squeeze out 237HP from a 2.0L engine. Yun Ecoboost ba, turbo ba yun?

Yes, the 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine is Turbocharged and has Ti-VCT (Twin independent Variable Camshaft Timing) & direct injection, while the 290hp 3.5 liter Ti-VCT V6 engine is naturally aspirated.
