Idk kung na post na to..
Morning Guys!
So I test drove the new Ranger XLT 4x2 A/T last Saturday!
When I first got on I was already quite happy on how well the interior looked! I currently own a SR5/Hilux and this is such a leap! The interior does not feel cheap in the lightest bit.
So I drove around Global and can say the ride is slightly better than the Strada and the rest but it still does feel a bit bumpy (I drove around the areas with uneven asphalt and steel plates. I thought it was better than this but pretty good for stock suspensions. The manager said they will be after market suspension options daw "soon" exclusively sa Global City branch so this is good new for us so that we won't void the warranties but i'm worried how much more expensive it will be compared to other shops.
If you compare the 2.2 XLT to the Hilux and Strada counterpart this is a no brainer. The Ranger is the best in class!
Anyway I do believe
Attention Ford Ranger T6 owners:
Now is the best time to test the 800mm water wading capability of your rides hehehe![]()

i wont be surprised to see a modified "wildtrak look" soon sa labas.
it looks easy, all they have to do is paint a couple of panels then buy the tires and an aftermarket/imitation wildtrak bed roll bar.
Does the 2.2 XLT really weigh 1929 kg? That's over 200 kg heavier than an equivalent Strada.
How's the 2.2L coping with the weight?
Its much heavier because the New Ranger is much larger than the Strada.
The New Ranger's 2.2 Duratorq TDCi engine is small, but it produces 375Nm * 1500rpm - 2500 rpm, more than most of the larger displacement engines of its competitors.
For comparison:
Strada 2.5 4x2 torque: 350Nm * 1800rpm - 3500rpm
Hilux 2.5 4x2 torque: 260Nm * 1600rpm - 2400rpm (to be replaced by a new 2.5 which produces 343Nm * 1600rpm -2800rpm of torque)
Colorado 2.5 4x2 torque: 350Nm * 2000rpm
Navarra 2.5 4x2 torque: 356Nm * 2000rpm
