Luxury items or status symbols barely apply nowadays, it's so easy to get a loan on anything - cars, bags, watches, travel. It's the lifestyle that separates the truly rich.

Hindi ko rin maintindihan bakit ang sama ng tingin sa mga tao that are not "simple". Kanya kanyang luxuries lang naman yan e. May kaibigan ako naka old model Toyota corolla, because she is not into cars. But she can afford brand new. Bakit daw niya papalitan e maganda pa naman takbo. Pero luxury niya travel, she goes out of the country at least once a year. She eats at expensive restaurants and wears designer stuff but I never saw her as maarte.
