It greatly depends on the norms of the society that person lives in. In a more liberal society, premarital sex is almost expected like in US, Japan, UK, etc.

In other more conservative societies, the rate of PMS (premarital sex) is still quite high but the topic is usually made quiet by society and the church like in the Philippines. Denial is the word. Everyone has their levels of sex drive. Some prefer to test the waters while others prefer a more conservative route of abstaining until marriage. Either way, its not good nor bad. It is just "is".
