ah yes that looks fine. it actually looks better than my 60t kms example. sir synthetic oil ba gamit nyo o yun regualr lang? ako kasi maski chipipay na synthetic pinapatulan ko. nakapag lagay na ako ng mobil (kaso di na ako uulit mahal kasi sobra) total excellium, delco yung silver na lalagyan, valvoline super syn etc. minsan feeling ko extra gastos lang yung synthetic at 5000-8000kms change oil nadin ako.

sa pagkakatanda ko, mula 1k km up to 70k/75k km toyota fully synth ang gamit ko, casa maintain kase eto at 5k km interval.

75-90k km pms, redline synth, eto pinakamagandang natry ko. ang mahal lang talaga kaya tipid mode muna. diy lang

ngayon 90-95k, chipipay na ZIC synth. korean brand. sakit sa ulo.

Kung para sa akin para ma prevent iyong oil sludge gumamit ka ng original oil filter at kahit mineral oil basta umabot ng 3000. Km palit agad ng langis. Kung iyon talaga sakit ng makina ng Altis. Mas maganda rin kung pati oil pan ibaba at linisin iyon loob doon naiipon sa ilalim iyong mga langis na namuo kasi pag matagal hindi napaandar makina dito pumupunta langis.

It actually boils down on the oil you put in your engine that forms the sludge build up. The more formulation and additives the oil has the more it is prone to sludge.

Recently found out that our 10++ year old lancer has no sludge build up when we took it for valve clearance check up at a gas station. It was using purely mineral oil from the top 3 oil giants, the gas station mechanic was awed when he open up the valve cover to see that the cams and rocker arms where very clean and even the inside of the valve cover was so clean. The regimen was regular 5Kms change oil/filter with regular air filter cleaning or replacement. BTW, our Lancer has 180K Kms. It was also using VIC oil filter, but we usually buy them at reputable stores.

This is now my regimen with my Innova, and I quited using FS oil, no more Toyota OEM FS oil nor RP oil, I'm doing now mineral oil every 5K Kms with air filter always on the check list.

di ko pala na mention, every change oil, change oil filter din. before i used toyota oem filters, now im using VIC bought from ACE hardware. siguro naman oirg yung mga yun?

IMO, Vic oil filters are good quality.

OT: paano ba malalaman kung orig ang VIC filter na nabili? kase hearing somethings na may fake daw na VIC.

our 2002 3ZZFE has the same problem:







it was casa maintaing by the first owner. starting from the 10,000 Km pms, used fully synthetic oil. pms schedule was followed. We got it last 2007 with almost 80,000Km on the Odometer. I used RP and had the oil changed at every 10,000Km.

With my wife traveling at SLEX at around 100 kph the engine stopped, good thing she was able to coast from the overtaking lane to the shoulder. Now the engine is at a machine shop for repair. BTW, the odo now is at around 120,000 km

Ang advise sa aking ng mga mechaniko na nakausap ko. do not use synthetic oils, use quality mineral oils (from any of the big three) and change the oil before 5,000km. Sabi nila ang may sala ay ang synthetic oil. Do not use oils daw with teflon.

matanong ko lang; as per story nakuha nyo ang car 2nd hand and you are using RP oil; di ba ito ay magandang oil at mamahalin bakit nagkaganito? di ba na detect tuwing mag change oil kayo na nagkakaroon na ng sludge build up kasi dinaman biglaan ito magaacumulate ito unti unti at baka maaaring makita ito during oil change sa na drain na oil.

^^^ i think nagsimulang mag form ang sludge while being casa maintained. kasi ng nabili namin, dahan dahan nagbabawas ng oil. wala naman usok nor leak. habag tumatagal, dumarami ang nagiging kulang/dinadagdag ko.

kung gumamit ako ng flush before change oil, possible na naminimize ang problem.

ng ako na ang nag maintain, hindi na ako nagpapalit ng oil filter every 5,000 Km.

now gamit ko ay semi-synthetic na good for 7,000 km. pero change oil ako every 5,000 km.

yun ng ang iniisip ko maaaring noong casa maintained pa lang ito; pero nag tuloy tuloy pa rin kahit RP pa rin ang gamit mo; at di ba kung maganda ang oil na ito dapat nalinis niya unti unti ito dahil merong mga detergents addities ang mga oil na ito, kung baga di na tumuloy tuloy ba ang sludge problem mo, kung baga maintained na lang or mabawasan unti unti, parang lumalabas kahit anong oil ang gamit mo di niya ma peprevent ang sludge

before, he was using RP, then switch to magnatec. its cheaper
