Good video on the stuff.

But as far as oil goes new or recycled it kinda sucks. Very low Zinc and Phosphorus so it's anti friction package is not impressive at all. On average only 820ppm zinc and less than 700ppm Phosphorus. They try to make up for it with a higher dose of moly but it's still not a oil I would waste money on.
Re: Valvoline's NextGen Recycled Oils - How is it?
^ ah ok. so in general, valvoline oils are sub par?
Re: Valvoline's NextGen Recycled Oils - How is it?
They are on par with say Castro, It's the new API ratings that make them like that. US oil is really getting weak. Now there Diesel oils are very good.

I see.... ano ba norm or high in TBN sir? based on the other thread I see good feedbacks on Mobil Delvac MX and Delo Gold Ultra.
Re: Valvoline's NextGen Recycled Oils - How is it?
afaik, good automotive engine oils must have a tbn of 10 as a minimum for heavy duty applications. locomotive, marine oils about 50 or higher.
