ok pero pag trade in wag mo sama yun mga parts na imporatante like starter, alternator, compressor & injection pump medyo mahal din kasi yan pag binili mo na.
do a cost analysis...
how much would you be spending if you had your engine Oh'ed where you can be sure that all of its components are new
versus...
a surplus engine where you will not know its condition and may conk out after a year or so.
I agree here. I'm in the same situation with a Camry i'm working on now. It overheated and there's a possibility the cylinder head warped. Toyota of course will charge 300K+ for the job when it was assessed at Toyota Shaw Pasig (new engine or new engine block); Options are to either have the cylinder head done at a machine shop and do a top overhaul (new gaskets) or look for a surplus block (which is pretty hard to come by for a Toyota 2.4L engine) then recondition the engine on top of it.
Cylinder head gasket=975
Timing belt=700
Shaft oil seal=80
4pcs surplus nozzle(injection pump)=2000
Change oil=1260
Labor=2,500
TOTAL=23,515
Salamat sa pagbasa.God Bless
