i was reading the Delo gold Ultra/ delo gold 400/ and rimula R3 and R4 data....
note: all those 3 mentioned oils are classified as HDEO(heavy duty engine oil)
they all say that their oils can last up to 30,000 kms... they were pertaining to trucks and other heavy equipment usage...
i was just guessing why ordinary consumers like us change it at 5000kms.....when we even don't get the punishment the heavy industries experience.haha

Since 80-85% of engine wear occurs at start-up, passenger cars are at a disadvantage. Those trucks who pile up mileage due to really long distance covered and mostly idling lang without shutting the engine is actually better off talaga.
Plus their filters, even OEM, are designed for HD use as well. Again different from passenger cars. But installing a bypass system on our rides nga can extend even our oil to those numbers.

I have been using the Mobil Delvac MX for about 1 and a half month now. Pansin ko, brownish pa rin nug kulay ng oil sa dipstick hindi pa nag darkened into black.
