I was hoping meh MSDS or PDS... anecdotal lang lahat info...

i think hindi possible ma-transform ang isang mineral oil to fully synthetic oil just by adding something to an already existing chemistry...

where you drilled the base oil, how you refine and process it, will determine if FS o mineral siya...

Group 3. Mineral base + additives

Maybe yan ung gusto sabihin nung oil extreme. In the US, a mineral base oil with enough additives can be marketed as "fully synthetic".

Yes, backward compatible naman up to API CI+. CJ yung nabawasan yung contents due to necessity to take care of DPF's in newer diesel cars.

Oil Extreme™ "Better Than Synthetic" Motor Oil is specially formulated using the new Group III, very highly refined, hydrocracked and catalytic dewaxed petroleum base oil. This "white water" as it is called is so pure that it is crystal clear. It is processed in special plants built by several major oil companies, under high temperatures and pressures to remove all the sulfur, nitrogen and oxygen compounds that normal solvent extraction processes can't remove.
By eliminating these harmful compounds in the base oil it is possible to formulate engine oils with oxidation stability equal to or greater than products based on 100% synthetic oils. They have excellent thermal degradation properties, and perform especially well in high-temperature applications like racing. msds click the facebook link MSDS Oil Extreme... | Facebook

That is the claim of the innovator. What we want is proof that this "extreme oil" is really performing at or above par of a given standard. In so far as standardization is concerned, an oil analysis is needed to prove or disprove the claim of the innovator. This will tell the populace if this is really a good oil. An analogy to this is like in the field of medicine, if the "bioassay" & "bioequivalence" of a generic drug (eg brand X) comes close or surpasses that of the original drug (brand O), only then we can say that this generic drug is good or better than the original. In medicine, it is called "evidence-based medicine". Cause at the end of the day, if you can't give us studies or proof, then this product is just another mrketing hype. I do hope you get my point, sir...

    +1.

george69 please create your own thread and explain everything there, and most importantly be prepared for criticisms. This thread itself is informative and is about engine oils, not additives in the first place. Hangga't maaari sana, we hope it stays that way.
