July 28th, 2014 05:53 PM #2671My experience with Top1 HD 10w-30, is not that good. Probably in a scale of 1-5, i'll give it a 2.5-2.9. According to my father, parang magasapang daw ang takbo specially during idle. Will try Mobil Delvac 15w-40 next, actually wala pang 3000 kms ang takbo, gusto na papalitan ng father ko. That's how disappointed he is. Sana Mobil Delvac will be up to par or greater, if not sunod ko is Delo 400. Reasons I chose the Delvac over the 400 are the price (cheaper), availability (hirap maghanap ng 400, puro DGU/DG lang), and higher viscosity index of Delvac compared to 400 (apart from that basically its the same). Last choice is yung highly recommended na Zic oil, wala kasi ako nakikita na ganun sa mga auto supply.
I would still be using Bosch oil filter for Dmax. Sana talaga Delvac wont disappoint.

July 28th, 2014 06:22 PM #2673Noted.
So if your supplier would carry Mobil, you'll switch back or stay at Delo 400?
Gusto ko sana tlga i try yung 400, kaso may kamahalan. Cheapest I saw was 288-290/ltr, this is from a Caltex station, forget about the auto supply, they seemed to stop ordering the 400 when DGU/DG was introduced. Sa Mobil Delvac, almost all auto supply near us has it, cost 230/ltr, availability is not a problem.

Before ano gamit nyo engine oil na masaya kayo sa performance? Pwede mo itry ulit yun kung babalik sa desired smoothness and idling. But if mahal yung dati mo gamit eh trial & error ka talaga hanggang malaman mo kung ano hiyang na engine oil sa dmax mo na mura price.

This is for a 99 Civic VTi M/T with 48K kms actual mileage:
2010 - Honda 10W-30 mineral (w/ VIC filter)
2011 - Honda 10W-30 mineral (w/ blue Honda filter)
2012 - Delo Gold (yellow cap) w/ B1402
2013 - Mobil Delvac MX w/ B1402
Just wondering if its advisable to continue w/ Delvac MX which is API SL or better to switch to ZIC A API SN ?
Filter will be B1402 or B1431. Mileage per year is about 4K + kms only. coding car.
