Wrong.

Ang ci-4/sL eh good for 10.000kms. Example zic 5000 power, zic up, delo gold ultra ...etc

Magback read ka dito sa mga post ng the great dvldoc or punta ka bob is the oil guy forum.

Pag ang basehan mo ng oil change interval eh sa mineral, semi-synthetic and fully-synthetic eh that is so 1990s. Bobolahin ka ng mga mechanico at nagtitinda ng engine oil. API rating at MSDS ang basehan ngayon.

Pero kung titingnan car manual ng altis eh API SL ang nakalagay so mas maganda gumamit ng ci-4/sL oil dahil mas maganda sa makina at pwede paabutin ng 10,000kms. Ang API SN hanggang 5,000 to 7,500 kms ko lang papaabutin.

Ang 2011 altis eh same engine sa mga previous generation altis.

Any multi-fleet engine oil. Yun nga lang majority are 15w40 viscosity kaya sluggish / dragging effect sa gasoline engine.

Zic pa lang alam ko may 10w30 , 10w40 na ci-4/sL. But im hoping maglabas other brands ng ganyan viscosity.

But with the availability of oils with the CI-4/SL ratings in the Philippines you don't need it. This is just to show the differnce between oils with less than 900ppm zinc vs ones with over 1200ppm. SM oils can have as low as 650ppm zinc (yikes). If you have a classic muscle car you'll wreck your engine with modern oil due to there flat flat tapper lifters. If you vehicle is older than 1996 without roller lifters newer oils like SM,SL, SN will wreck flat tapper lifters and cams.

Engines with flat-tappet cams have extremely high pressure loading at the contact point between the lifter crown and the cam lobe. Even stock passenger cars can see pressure in excess of 200,000 psi at the point of flat-tappet/camlobe contact." To prevent excess wear, traditional motor oil included generous dose of antiwear additives, primarily zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP). "The chemistry is such that the additive is a combination of zinc and phosphorous this has been loss due to new the newer API rated oils especially in larger countries. But regulations have killed this off with the new SM, SL, oils.

Basically if your vehicle or equipment such as farm equiempent or generator set does not have roller lifters and your using SM/SL/SN your not getting the proper protection. You need u need at least CH-4/SL or CI-4/SL or full fledged diesel oil.

API rating is more important than brand name or synthetic, Semi synthetic vs Dino. Most CH-4/SL or CI-4/SL Dino oils will give more protection than a Full synthetic SM oil.

baka iyan din next gamitin ko sa monty kaso lang may sobra pa ako ng 1+ liters sa zic 5000 power.

ilan liters nagamit mong hd plus diesel bro? kasi iyong sa top 1 sdo parang 7 cans ata nagamit ko dati kung 'di ako nagkakamali

Sinakto ko 6.4 liters (paired with baldwin bd28) so may pocket pa akong 0.6 liters. Next purchase 6 liters na lang. But the following morning before using, I checked the oil dipstick, sobra ito sa full, so binawasan ko. I presume yung old oil residue mix up kaya may excess. Kung minsan pag may sobra ginagamit ko na lang pang lubricate sa gates' pillow block hinges.

Isa pa advice pa ni dvldoc and sa bob is the oil guy and sa experience ko din.

Pag nalaman nyo na kung saan hiyang engine oil kotse eh maintain nyo na. Kasi kung every oil change palipat-lipat eh mataas probabilty hindi consistent performance like maingay engine, sluggish.... Lipat lang kayo pag malaki matitipid sa gusto itry na oil.
