    Fellow Tsikoteers,

Advice lang on what to check sa carburator type 1.3 liter engine Mazda 323 Familia '94 model.

It only happend last Friday... Napansin ko lang when running at 85 to 100 KPH sa SLEX biglang may umaamoy na gasoline. Pero when I'm doing city driving kahit may times na lalampas ako ng 85 wala naman. Difference lang na napansin ko na ganyan nagyayari kasi when I'm running at SLEX yung temperature ng engine below 1/4 minsan nasa Cold pa while in city naman din is 1/3 lang up to 1/2 lang inaabot ng temp guage.

Any thoughts if this is a carburator issue na? Or any other leaks that I need to check kasi intermittent eh

HIndi pa man din ako sanay tumatakbo sa SLEX ng 80 and below

Thank you in advance for your feedback

Top overhaul tawag dun.

Much better kung pa-compression test mo muna engine para malaman kung may leak nga yun piston ring or puno na ng carbon deposit yun mga valve seat. Kaya hindi masyado nagsasara mga ito. Mausok ang tambutso kapag loose compression at amoy gasoline ang exhaust.

kung hindi yung fuel return hose ang problem, try to check if may gasoline stain marks sa may ilalim ng carb. you might be leaking gas on the carb gasket, or though the o-rings on the floater mechanism.

    HTH.

Thanks Chinoi for the heads :cool01: but top overhaul is not an option kasi hindi naman po sa tambutso lumalabas yung gasoline smell... To clarify, the gas smell was coming in from the aircon vent. Malinis din po spark plugs nung binaklas ko

My apologies medyo napansin ko nga na hindi clear yung description ko yesterday evening sa thread kasi pagod at late ko na rin naumpisahan
