Ang issue ko sa diesel car ko vs. my gas one, aside from the cost & efficiency of the diesel is that sa diesel, di pwede yung pag para, patay agad.

Definitely maluluto kagad turbo pag ganon.

Gasoline Engine,
Smoothness pag dating sa acceleration, quiet engine, and madaling mag-warm up ang engine, bago gamitin after rest period
Diesel engine,
Very FC efficient lalo sa long distance driving, + yung torque at low rpm, ramdam agad yung pulling power,
medyo magsapang yung takbo tapos kung merong turbo, ramdam yung turbo lag, then at least 5mins minimum to warm up the diesel engine after rest period,

Old school diesel engines have atomic engines. As long as they are properly maintained, they just go on chugging. Newer diesel engines are more complicated to maintain but have put back the fun in driving a diesel. Newer gasoline engines are far more economical than their ancient ancestors (esp those in the 1.0-1.3 category). Surprisingly, the maintenance (for me) comes off as reasonable, especially when it is done outside the casa and with aftermarket parts.
This is my observation regarding the 1.0-2.0 car segment (please feel free to correct me). AFAIK, all the diesel cars in the market right now are turbo charged. So, as sir bloowolf had posted, you need to adjust your driving habits and time when using one. Of the gas cars, AFAIK Ford is the only one with a turbo charger. All the rest are NA.

Sa Accent Hatch ko nakasanayan ko na mag-cool down before shutting off the engine. Less than 2 mins ang cool down, pag medyo nagmamadali eh around 45 secs.
IMO, it's a bit unfair to judge someone's patriotism because they have a Chinese car. We do not...
