mga sir malaki pa difference sa lakas ng sound ang 5.25 and 6.5 na seps, gusto ko kasi makatipid ng space sa mounting sa sides ng front door or its worth na 6.5 inches nalang talaga?
sir installer, paki quote magkano ang installation charge for dmax ls 2010, one pioneer gm-6400F amplifier at 2 sets of pioneer ts-a1684s speakers. i'll use the existing hu to drive the pioneer amplifier. paki quote mo na rin ng 10" sub with matching amplifier
sir, ano marecommend niyong affordable sound setup for a honda city 2003 model..newbie here, dont know much about set ups talaga..pa-pm na lang sir.
thanks
Kung kaya ng door mo ng 6 1/2 inches, best to go that way. The most notable difference is the bass cutoff.. it can go much lower compared to 5 inchers.
Best to use an aftermarket headunit rather than the existing headunit. You see, the #1 reason why people flock to aftermarket headunits (car audio) is not because of its features but rather due to its ability to present a balanced signal. Factory headunits normally have a preset factory EQ (ex. Chevrolet has built in bass boost) and what you want is to un-EQ this and then feed the signal to the amplifiers.
This is also the reason why the current fad -- standalone processors like the Audison BitOne and the JBL MS8 can work with OEM integration due to their un-EQ ;) in fact, most of us would recommend changing the head unit first before foray into car audio.
For the lifestyle, we need a best sound for our best car, specially driven in the never ending road traffics, i've done so many upgrades later specially in the new monterosport without replacing it's factory head unit, and so the worst thing is, for me as the installer, there is no RCA out in factory head, so my only option is a line converter for a budget or an OEM integrator for a cost, always option is a line converter for a simple upgrade, a good seps in the front, a full range at the rear, and a 4 channel amp to power them, where is the sub? NONE, i can create bass in those speakers..
That idea is from the costumer, one said, "i buy these car for my comfort, stability, space and access, so if i replace my head unit, so i've done wrong".. In fact he's right, always.. "no sub, no replace factory heads, make these car sound better than the stock"..
The good news is, the idea of OEM integrator is from the line converter, in a crossover, and an eq's in one package, we can buy line converter, a crossover, and EQ drive for the price that we can take, if you can do those convertion without a miss, like i always did, your upgrades sound better 100% than the stock..
A sound processor is more expensive than you think it is. If I had an opportunity to purchase a dashkit and my preferred headunit, I'll do it. But since hindi ako makahanap ng dashkit, settled for an OEM + Processor route instead. Can't say nagsisi ako, price-wise, masakit. But there's alot of learning involved so ito na rin yun parang learning "fee".
But yes, as tsikotshop commented, horror yun sa installer pagwalang RCA out. I ended up using a line out converter.
Meron ngayun line converter ang rockford, around 4-5k php, pag di mapalitan ang head unit, ok din to, see reviews:Rockford Fosgate® - RF-BLD, mahal kase 360.2 e.
Meron kase ngayun nung mumurahin na line converter pero prone sya sa electrical noise problems, sakit sa ulo, pero as of now, puro budget system lang ginagawa ko, line converter syempre, 600php lang, be sure lang sa installation, if not, mas pangit pa sa stock system ang result..
The 3sixty.3, New in rockford fosgate now, wow, 8 channel interactive signal processor w/ 248 band parametric EQ, The 3Sixty.3 is the ultimate signal processor from Rockford Fosgate that can function as an OEM integration "black box" or a complete surround sound DSP. Setup is a breeze with it's EZ setup fuction that includes auto gain, auto equalization and tuning via the included microphone. Available options allow mobile device (TBA) control and A2DP wireless audio streaming. This is the only device you'll need to "hook-up" your ride for sound using only stock heads.. ew..
Madaming incoming processors out in the market. In fact, you can dub 2010+ as the processor "fad" and it can't be wrong. Sa US released na yun new DSP ng Alpine, I wonder nalang kung gaano ka-tagal lalabas dito sa Philippines. I forgot to ask Benedict of Perfect Circle kanina sa Trans Sport Show kung kailan. There's also the RF 360.3 as tsikotshop stated above. The 360.2 suffered horrible sales due to their usage of a wrong "device" for tuning. Sino ba meron Palm ngayon?
Personally, I'm most excited about the incoming Italian Mosconi DSP. Looks very sleek, but it has a lot to prove to try and dethrone the Audison Bit.One as the most "tunable" processor out in the market. I'm using JBL MS-8 and I'd say I'm pretty impressed with the auto-tune. Light years ahead from Alpine's autotuning capabilities. One sweep and I got it 80% of where I want it to be. Most users would be happy with 70%, I'm just fussy![]()
