Reminiscing...what cars did your family have when you were still in grade school?

1991 dad bought an 83 Mitsubishi Colt/Mirage. I hated that car. Should have gone for the Ford Laser instead.

We had a Corolla SR back in the 80's... tough old car survived 8 accidents before my father finally sold it to accommodate his growing family. I'd like to have one again someday, I'd also put on those corduroy seatcovers and put change in the ashtray where my father used to get my daily allowance that was such a hallmark of my youth.

I wonder what happened to all the muscle cars here? all exported by the Americans?

Saw pictures of my grandfather's Chevy (not sure what model it is) form his Meralco days in the 50s-60s.

I also saw pics of my father driving a Ford Taunus and an Austin Mini in the
70s - the Mini I actually recall playing in as a kid in our garage but never recall it running anymore until it was sold as scrap.

In the 80s, there was a Gemini coupe, a Ford Laser, a Galant station wagon (with the wood-finish body panels), and an Isuzu pick-up.

The 90s saw a Nissan California, a Corolla GL (which would be the car I learned to drive in), a couple of FX, and an Accord.

blue Anfra- palagi ako nagsusuka dito kapag sumasakay ako dito dati kasi matagtag at saka eto yung palagi naming ginagamit pagdumadalaw kami sa Norzagaray, Bulacan
Galvanized na Toyota (TCY-???)- naaalala ko ito kasi ang dami niyang electric fan sa loob, nasa Tarlac na daw 'to ngayon.

Elementary (1997-2003):
1994 white Toyota Tamaraw FX Standard diesel (TNY-***)- ito talaga yung pinaka nagtagal sa amin, pinanglulusong namin sa baha. ilang beses na rin kaming itinirik kung saan saan. hehe... ito yung pinalit sa galvanized na toyota namin, sold last 2005
1994 blue Mazda 626 hatchback (TRX-???)- sobrang lakas nito sa gas pero kasya kami 5 magkakapatid sa back seat at that time. sold last 2004
1999 white Honda City 1.5 EXi (WFP-***)- ito yung unang brand new namin na sasakyan. tanda ko pa dati, feeling rich kami magkakapatid kapag nakasakay lalo na nung wala pang plates. hehe unang honda sa pamilya namin. iniyakan ko 'to ng todo-todo nung binenta. sold last 2004; last seen sa Tagaytay City
2002 red Honda CR-V 2WD 7 seater- pinahiram lang siya ng lola namin. hindi talaga siya sa amin, pero almost 8 months din siyang nasa-custody namin.

High School (2003-2007):
2004-2005? two-tone (green) Toyota Revo VX240D (X?J-***)- dito ako gumaling mag-drive. hehe... mahal na mahal ko rin 'to kahit na tinirik niya kami sa C5 nung pauwi nung nag-take ako ng USTET. inaway ko pa sa text at saka pinagbantaan ko pa dati yung buyer nito. hehe sold last 2007? 8?; last seen sa Buy and Sell na malapit sa Axis Market
1996 red Mitsubishi Pajero 2.5 4x4 m/t (not Fieldmaster) (UJH-***)- wala lang, bihira ko rin siya nagamit since palagi siyang ginagamit ni dad sa mga projects niya sa bundok. sold last year

College (2007-2011):
2005 black Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6G (ZAM-***)- wala lang, sa kuya ko kasi 'to pero minsan ginagamit din as family car. sold last year
1997 silver Mitsubishi Lancer pizza- current ride ko at ang aking tunay na first love. kahit magpapalit palit pa kami ng sasakyan sa future, ayoko siyang ibenta. marami na kaming pinagsamahan sa hirap at ginhawa. at never niya pa akong tinirik at binigyan ng kunsomisyon. ipaglalaban ko siya hanggang huli.
2000 dark grey Ford F150 Lariat A/T (W??-??)(?) (don't know the exact variant- 4 door pero hindi suicide door)- sa isang kuya ko din siya. naaalala ko pa dati, tinext ako ng kuya ko na puntahan ko daw siya sa UST kasi hindi niya daw mailabas sa parking yung pick-up kasi natuyuan DAW ng gas. sold last 2008? or 2009?
2009 black Mitsubishi Montero GLS 2WD A/T (VDN-***)- second brand new namin next to our City SX8. biglaan lang yung pagbenta sa kanya. during his last day, inutusan ako ni dad to buy a lamp sa hardware at pinagpilitan niyang gamitin ko yung MS. yun pala, huling drive ko na sa kanya. sold last year (weeks lang yung pagitan nila nung Pajero); last seen sa office ni dad
2005 gold Toyota Camry 3.0V (XTH-***)- gift siya ni dad sa grandparents namin. occasionally, nagagamit din namin siya. nung bagong bili pa siya, nag-uunahan pa kami magkakapatid mag-volunteer samahan yung lolo at lola ko sa hospital for check-up. kalaunan, wala ng gustong gumamit sa kanya kasi ang lakas niya sa gas. hehe. sold last month
2010 white Ford Ranger (base model) (PAQ-???)- gift siya ni dad sa aunt ko pero nagagamit din namin minsan. traded for 2008 Mitsubishi Strada GLX 4x2 (ZSW-***) last month
1997 red Mazda Miata- siya yung kapalit ng Altis, bihira ko lang makita kaya di ko alam yung plate number. hehe

first car namin was bought on 1993, year din ng kapanganakan ko

toyota corolla 1.6 gli ata yun, kaso saglit lang samin to dahil gipit daw kami nung mga panahon na to it was sold before I enter elementary siguro mga 1995 yun, tapos yun matagal din kaming walang saskyan non,

1997, when I was in grade 2, na-surprised ako dahil sinundo ako ng father ko sa school using a tamaraw FX, bagong-bago pa yun non may plastic pa nga yung sidings saka upuan e,

1998, may sinangla samin na 1997 mazda 323, ang ganda rin nito, saglit lang rin nagamit e...siguro mga 3 months lang samin tapos tinubos na rin ng may ari

then before entering 2000 binenta ang FX, binili naman yung bagong labas Toyota REVO that was 2001...ngayon 2011 ibebenta na yung revo, eto na yung pinaka matalgal na auto namin, dito ako natuto mag-drive, ganda pa ngayon, pure stock...ngayon nag-iisip ako kung ano ipapalit nila, nararamdam kong pick-up ata magiging bagong alaga namin...

-sold because of frequent floods during that time, one of which caused a transmission replacement.

Since then we have a 1976 Corona Macho 12r and a Malabon Owner type jeep toyota 2r engine

then came 1997 - Mitsubishi Lancer Pizza CK4 GlXi. Millano White.

Till I found in 2005 - a 1973 Datsun 240z - Got it restored.

PRE-SCHOOL:
- 2 Toyota Corolla XL (1997 and 1995 second hand), mula sa car plan ni Erpats. Both sold in 2001
- Mitsubishi Colt ni Lola (don't know what happened)

ELEMENTARY:
- 1999 Honda Civic VTI (bought second hand in 2001, I was in Grade 1 back then stayed with us until one month before I graduated HS), this is where I've practiced driving around our village. Sold because replacement car was there and maintenance costs. Mula sa car plan ni Erpats ulit.
- 2002 Toyota Revo DLX - Mula sa company benefits ng Lolo ko. Noong nakikitira kami sa grandparents ko before, hinihiram ng family ko ito minsan. Nandyan pa rin sa lola ko used by my aunts
- 1990 Toyota Liteace - Secondhand purchased last 2001 pero binenta noong nandyan si Revo.
- 2006 Toyota Avanza J - Sa car plan ni Erpats. One of the first owners here. Nandyan na sa amin a day na before lumipat kami ng bahay. I was in Grade 6 at that time and it stayed with us until summer of 2008 (incoming second year HS). Sold kasi promoted si daddy tapos bumili ng replacement car. I've first learned how to drive on this car.

HIGH SCHOOL:
- 2008 Toyota Innova J - Got this car as a result of my dad's promotion. Ang daming naging adventures nito (lalo na nung third year HS ako, muntikan kami mastranded sa Ondoy with erpats and some classmates). Still with us up to now.
- 2011 Honda Civic V - Got this car as a replacement ng EK Civic. Dumating days before my last JS Prom and noong graduation, nandyan siya. Sabi ni
dad papagamitin sa akin ito sa college (wala pa akong students permit)

If the EK Civic was there, malamang mapupunta sa akin at iuupgrade ko sana (iPod ready head unit, rims, etc).
