Sa physical brochure ng geely coolray, nakalagay 5 year warranty or 150000kms, whichever comes first.

Walang asterisk about limited warranty etc na normal nakikita ko if may specific terms and conditions.

Have to recheck the new site ng geelyph.com kung meron details dun.

The only showroom/service center that officially opened is the one along Edsa.

They have mall displays right now at Trinoma and MOA.

No idea where they plan to open up new showrooms, I don't know if there have been reported new ground breakings for Geely.

wiat mode nga ko kasi alrady got an mg zs so ilalabas ang rx8 - full size suv kaso si geely naman naglalabas din ng magaganda like atlas....

graduate na ako sa japanese and american made cars, never tried korean, kasi for thier price eh di mag japan brand na lang ako.

I am betting on this car. On paper this is world class car design by world class engineers. I think this is like Huawei of cars in China, Huawei is to mobile phones/telecoms and Geely is to cars. The distributor is very confident about the 5 year warranty they are offering. If they keep their prices low, and the quality is really good, then I think this will sell like hotcakes in the next few years. I really love seating inside this car because I felt i am driving a european car. I need to book a 2nd test drive to make sure its drive performance is really good. But I was amazed how the sport mode has pulled our bodies of 5 backward against the seats everytime I press the gas pedal. I am hoping to receive good testimonies from owners for the next few months.

If I recall the reviews correctly, the Sport mode engages the Turbo and adjusts the programming of the transmission.

If you are in Eco Mode for the Coolray, the turbo is disabled (I'm not 100% sure but I recall it being mentioned in a review video)

Curious ako sa 3 cylinder turbo, 177hp..

    And the Dual clutch transmission...

Di ko mapigilan pumasok sa isip ko yung dual clutch disaster ng mga Ford..

Ford used dry type DCT for low torque application like those used on small vehicles with small displacement gas engines. It did use wet type DCT on the older Focus turbo diesel.

DCT is not bad but their reliability is more related to the manufacturers who use it. BMW, Mercedes, VW, and some others do use DCT for a big number of models they sell on the market.

Volvo Cars, Geely Merge Combustion, Hybrid Engine Operations

Well, with this, mas totoo na yung sinasabi ng Geely Sales rep that you are "mechanically" buying a Volvo. Hehe!

Since they are spinning off the engine building business and merging Volvo and Geely's engine building team into a new entity.

The excerpt I've read regarding Coolray's transmission

"The engine is matched with an automatic wet dual clutch seven speed gearbox (7DCT) developed in Geely’s China Euro Vehicle Technology Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden which boasts an industry leading 97% transmission efficiency. This 7DCT allows the Coolray to accelerate to 100km/h in just 7.9s whilst having a combined city/highway fuel consumption of just 6.1L/100km."

I've test drive the coolray today. It registered 21.27km/liter using the eco mode single trip fuel consumption meter.

Route of the test drive is from Geely North EDSA showroom, EDSA, Congressional ave, Cagayan street, Corregidor street. Nueva Ecija Street, then passing through SM north edsa via Misamis street, then going back to Edsa. Traffic is light to moderate.

The test drive unit has already registered 650 kilometers mileage city driving only. The average fuel consumption is 18.86km/liter based from its average fuel consumption meter.

I think the engine power in eco mode is enough for our daily trips in metro manila
