The SRP for the 4x2 is 898k. Yes, I saw an ad for their promo in the newspaper last week. Planning to visit their dealership hopefully by next week.

got my red thunder for a week (thanks Foton Cebu for a very good price) initial impression good engine performance (just a little noisy), powerful-torquey, very nice and rigid chassis coupled with good suspension, nice features, good design, easy to drive, just got some rattling sound from rear seats maybe loose bolts or the seatbelt hook are the cause. overall.. nice truck and good value for money....just crossing my fingers that parts and servicing will not be a problem in the future..

Wow! You guys have awesome feedback regarding the Foton Thunder! I've been researching regarding the truck and I'm a bit confused if I'd go with the new Dmax or the Thunder. Those 2 are my only choices. I know Ford got the Wildtrak and Chevrolet got the Colorado but It's Dmax or thunder for me because of the price. It's either high priced(dmax) or the thunder(value for money price).

So, since I've heard awesome feedback here regarding the thunder, I think it's time for me to test it out. I'm very particular with the suspension and the comfort and stability it could give even if it's a pick up. My Dad got a 2nd hand 7 year old pick up before and I was very disappointed it made me replace it's leaf spring with Tiger.

    Thanks!

Stereo is a standard 2 din with a small lcd display but not the touchscreen type.. quality of sound is not impressive but quite ok (for me)... so far my Thunder still performs great.. some of its trip involves delivering relief goods(fully loaded with canned goods, sacks of rice and bottles of water) to typhoon victims in northern Cebu and it performs very well.. i got more cargo space and power than the dmax & strada in our convoy though the engines is quite loud as compared with mits engine.. handling even fully laden is very good and the chassis can handle the load well.. aircon is very good(my unit is not yet tinted).. so far my only minor gripes are the loose plastics inside but can be easily remedied... so far Foton Thunder is still a very good value for money pick up truck..

I saw this displayed at harbor point sbma yesterday, all dressed up with arb front and rear bumpers, at least 2" lift (more like 3") black rhino mags and oversized mud tyres (chinese branded though, i forgot to check the size). Maganda, pogi.

ganda ng fit ng bumpers nya, not like the one i saw on a hilux when i was at ride, banawe. Fit na fit, walang big gaps between the arb bumpers and the body.

cummins engine pala ito. Di kaya mausok since cummins is known to smoke much?

I did not ask if they were selling it dressed as displayed, i was busy minding my 4 year old kasi. Siguro they are kasi they had to cut the body to get that fit of the bumper. It was not a simple replacement of the bumper e.

wala ako tiwala sa cummins e. We have cummins on our 3 cranes on the rig, they are high maintenance. 2 engines died already and i had to replace fuel pumps and injectors. And almost all small cummins engines now are china made, wala nang made in US na cummins.

Sir yebo good day sau. Baliktad experience natin sa cummins, lahat na cummins na nahawakan ko puro ok. Pero itong cummins is bosch crdi fuel system, yung ecu mataas di basta maabot ng baha. yung air inter-cooler nasa harapan ng makina parang radiator
By the way, yung mga cummins for marine application ang hawak ko di pang road transport..
