Hindi lang cars kahit trucks nagaya na rin ng China. I see a lot of Isuzu and Hino clones around. Parang meron pang Volvo or Hyundai clones sa big trucks. Same thing with car clones, the engines are really weak.
Laugh all you can, but China is now the 2nd biggest economy overtaking Japan

korean cars didn't take 20 years to improve when they first released the kia cd5 here in ph..
so chinese cars can do the same... grabe na ang dami na din chinese brands sooner maganda na din quality nyan..
siguro gaganda din quality nila pag tagal. pero please! tama na yung panggagaya. wala ba silang matinong designer?
I wouldn't mind buying this chinese car...
Unlike Volvo which is a chinese owned Swedish brand... the British MG brand died and was re-born as a chinese company thats now reconnecting with its british roots.
MG6
Nanjing Automobile Corp, now owned by Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation revived the British MG brand.
Now they have a design and development centre in the UK.
Its made in China, but euro spec models will be assembled at MG's UK Longbridge plant.

He might be wrong about Chinese cars, but i'd say he's right about South Korea.
When Hyundai Motors started in 1967, they were building Ford Cortinas, it was a joint-venture with Ford so this wasn't their own car.
The 1975 Hyundai Pony was Hyundai's first real car, this was designed by Giugiaro.
By the mid-90's (20 years after the Pony) Hyundai was already making cheap but decent cars (like Japanese cars of the 70's).
At this point they were obviously doing much better than most chinese car brands now. They were even able to enter the US market in 1986.
The South Korean companiese did the right thing in forming joint-ventures with established car companies.
Most Chinese car companiese still do knock-offs and steal technology etc.![]()

Heck with all the money the Chinese have these days they could just buy out automakers based in other countries. Like when Sichuan Tengzhong bought Hummer.
