Congratulations! Only issue that I can think of is it's slower accelaration compard sa iba. Depende sa dati mong car, bka medyo mag aadjust ka pa sa pagtimpla ng gas. It took me about 2 weeks to find out how to eliminate yung minsan nyang pagkadyut. I think it happens when it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. Iba kasi sya compared to Honda's CVT. Hindi mo sya kasi mapwersang mag upshift by suddenly releasing the gas. Gusto nya sya masusunod. Hehe! You'll get to used to it eventually. By the way, went to La Union last week and FC ko ay 14.6km/L. It initially recorded 18km/L but after the stopover, dahan dahan sya bumaba until naging stable sa 14.6km/L.

Can't seem to find an option sa mobile ko to be able to attach a doc or pic here. Pinicturan ko kasi yung monitor ko when it reached 18km/L. Mamaya will logon from my laptop.

I don't consider the slow acceleration an issue but a limitation that is acceptable to us considering the features unique to sonic. What I mean are issues similar to other models like unusual sounds etc. Glad you're happy with your sonic I'm excited to get ours ;-)

I guess they got burned with Chevrolet's poor customer support and lack of parts. I have a neighbour who has a Trailblazer waiting for a month now just waiting for a code from Thailand Sad since this is supposedly a premium SUV. What more support can they give the Sonic with fewer cars on the road.

Had to replace the engine support of our honda city 2008 and casa said ordering would take 2 to 3 weeks. I guess the advantage of other cars would be the option to buy outside the casa, if available.

btw, im here in saudi, srp of sonic is 44,000 SAR (base sedan) or around 475k pesos..

ang mahal pala ng difference sa price ng pinas, gusto ko din sana bumili dyan paguwi ko.

I would consider it an issue especially that the Sonic is slower than other cars with the same engine displacement.

Or maybe Chevy should just rename it the Sub-Sonic?

Kunin mo yung turbo mas mabilis daw ang acceleration at mas matipid. Feedback dito mabagal daw sa acceleration ang 1.4 non turbo at mas matipid sa gas ang ibang brand. Other than that ok naman features ng sonic. Back read mo lang feedback ng mga nakabili na dito.

Just got our Sonic kanina. Tama sinabi mo kumakadyot nga nung unang drive ko pag nasa lower gears parang gusto nya gentle lang sa umpisa. Mas smooth ang shifting ng City dito ramdam paglipat ng gears. Di ko pa na try sa higher speeds baka sa sabado pag dinala ko sa lucena.

Kumusta steering mo hindi ba mabigat? Nasanay kasi ako sa City sobrang gaang kahit isang kamay. Sa features happy naman ako :-)

Review so far sa 3 days na gamit:

Bad

1. Malakas nga sa gas although I didn't compute the actual FC
2. Mabigat ang manibela compared sa city although sa unang kabig lang then lumalambot na sya saka mas malambot pag mabilis na ang drive. Problema sa parking kasi mabigat or baka nasanay lang ako sa city na parang videogame ang manibela.
3. Slow acceleration sa lower gears and hindi mo puede idiin ang tapak sa low gears kasi kakadyot. Nakakapanibago lang sa umpisa pero madali masanay.
4. May 1 second delay from neutral to drive bago umandar and mahina lang ang hatak sa first gear. Nasanay ako sa city na andar agad at malakas humatak kahit di nakaapak sa gas kaya pag medyo pataas umaatras ako kanina. Pag around 3rd gear na smooth na ang takbo at acceleration.

Good

1. Ang ganda ng suspension kahit sa riles smooth ang dating. Yung feeling na parang may makapal na goma between you and the uneven road.
2. Ang ganda ng stereo sulit na sulit. Na appreciate ko yung controls sa steering wheel.
3. Ok ang bluetooth access ng celfone although di ko maalala pano icopy ang address book sa sonic :D
4. Pang display ang porma :-)
5. Kakaaliw ang autofold side mirrors although napepressure ako sa tunog ng backup sensors akala ko sasayad na

Sir question, does your city have the same wheel size as the sonic? Kasi when i checked the latter, it seems that the stock wheels are wider than the other subcompacts particularly the japanese brands. Baka kaya rin mas mabigat sa steering.

On the gasoline octane rating, ok siya kasi mas mura ang kailangan mailagay.

Manufacturers usually mention the minimum required octane rating, I think they meant don't go lower than 93 octane.

Sir question, does your city have the same wheel size as the sonic? Kasi when i checked the latter, it seems that the stock wheels are wider than the other subcompacts particularly the japanese brands.

The Sonic comes with 205's stock (low end models not sold here have 195's), so I think Chevy should have already calibrated its power steering to handle those tires, besides there are larger cars with much wider stock tires than those.
