Hi. Do you also do repairs on the aircon? Our Optra has this chronic problem with the aircon where you would have to turn off/on many times until the compressor engages. Only then lalamig na yung aircon. Di naman dim yung AC light when I turn it on.

I had it diagnosed with Wizzards Electrical. When they directly hooked the compressor's relay to the battery, the compressor will immediately engage and lalamig agad yung AC. They suggested to bring it to a shop that has a device to reset the computer box. I did as suggested and it worked, but only for a few days then bumalik na naman yung problem. Any ideas sir?

may tanong po ako sa inyo dati po ako nag papalit ng timing belt.

ung check engine na color orange sa 2006 optra ko lagi na nag aappear minsan nawala tapos mdalas meron...

chineck ko nmn lahat ng fluids ayos nmn ska wla nmn tagas kc wlang tulo sa buong paligid ng makina at sahig.

pina restart ko na ung computer box.

pag bumalik daw my papalitan daw pyesa? eh wla nmn problema sa hatak normal lahat kundi ung ilaw lang n engine check n orange.

i went to their shop last saturday and got the coolant reservoir tank of my optra replaced. cost: Php 500. plus i had the pleasure of meeting boss jun. he checked my car and pointed out things that needed attention like my engine has signs of oil leak. great guy. a great help for optra owners.

good day sir, yes po naecncounter nanamin same trouble before, worst pa eh walang check engine so wala kang pwedeng ihatol na palitan at hirap explain bakit kailangan palitan,
pag start normal, idle normal, even aircon or drive anjd reverse position sa automatic transmission ay no problem, pero bigla lang cya namamatay, kahit natakbo or naka park lang.
question muna para ma evaluate;
1. hard starting ba pag malamig, like di cya kaya ng isang start lang, second start or more bago sya dumeretso na start/
2. pag mamamatay na cya eh nararamdaman mo ba na paunti-unti baba ng idle/
3. pag nag shut down ba sya eh may lalabas na check engine pero pag start eh ok na cya ulit, or mababa nja ang idle di kaya pag naka aircon..
4. ano po huling pinagawa nyo before cya magtampo hehehe.
5. may pina convert, dagdag, pinabago sa kanya, like compressor conversion, aux fan na direct ikot agad pag on ang susi, HID,alARM, etc.
post mo sir para mabasa din ng iba na same problem.
sa 1 out of 30 unit na pumapasok sa amin same problem.

we have our own optra ls 1.6 dohc.

from piston, piston liner or sleeve, piston rings, engine valve,valve guide, valve seal,lapping, oil seal,head gasket, intake and exhaust gasket, pcv valve(the hardest to find). rear oil seal.
and the crucial timing and the most hardest to determined for most mechanic outside casa,

we already knew where to find these product, most of them are not available in thunder. even casa for PCV valve which is only 60,000 kms and need to be repalce.

here some quotation:

valve seal : 2450
valve guide : 1350 sets
engine valve : 650 each
head gasket: 1350 orig
camshaft oil seal: 280 each orig
PCV valve: 1200 orig
piston liner or sleeve : 1200 each plus 4000 labor for machine shop.
Ignition coil: OEM php 3500

labor:

top overhaul (or dukot).
php 4700
plus machine shops labor:
we can buy your parts or you.
3 to 5 days depending on machine shop availability

complete engine overhaul:
from valve seal piston rings, camshaft, throttle body cleaning, all gasket replace and oil ring replace

plus machine shop labor.
