I would like to see if TCCCI would also bring in the new Colorado 7 which is due to be released here in Australia by Holden later this year."Colorado 7" as in 7-seater SUV version of the 1-tonner Colorado pick up truck. 2012 Holden Colorado 7: first look at new ute-based SUV*CarAdvice

The rear brake is now drum brake while in thailand is disc. The front disc has no perforation as in Thailand.
The tires size were also reduced. Big surprise was the Bed Liner, also Gone !
Katulad ng Ford Explorer yan, madaming tinanggal na features kaya naging mura yung first batch of Explorers.

Passenger Cab looks roomy and spacious, even for rear passengers. Cargo bed sacrificed a bit for the space in front.

Kinda reminds me of a small Tundra nga.

Saw the Colorado on display today in Market Market. Not bad but Chevrolet could have made it higher like the Ranger. Wala din palang space to tilt back yung 2nd row passenger seats. But at least Colorado is bigger than the D-Max.

The weather this past few days prove you need a vehicle with high ground clearance. The road is going from bad to worst, slight drizzle lang flooded na kaagad.
Thou everybody wants a GC or T86, its more of want not need. So in reality mas di practical ang coupe.

Pickups were invented in the United States by US small-time house contractors during the housing boom of early 20th century, yun lapad or area dimension ng pickup bed eh yun lapad ng plywood nila noon araw for easy transport sa mga customers nila.

it was only re-popularized during the 80's by Stallone and Chuck Norris sa respective action movies to portray tough uzi-wielding action stars. pero ang aim kase ng Hollywood dito is to increase movie income sa rednecks or the rural states of Amerika, na puros workers/laborers na na naka-pickup.

it's just popular culture of which there is no use here talaga, lalo na dito sa Asia.

    ----

    parang mountain shoes lang yan

na sobrang naging popular dito sa'tin from the 80's up the late 2000, kasi mahal at made in America. eh ito shoes na ito applicable lang sa Rural America

pero putsa imagine bringing shoes like this into our SM malls, ambigat tapos ang taas taas ng sole. as in totally, fashion nightmare. susuot ka ng asian clothes tapos eto shoes mo lol

I don't know where you guys from but here in south Philippines (Mindanao). I've seen pickup trucks used to haul pets, ladders, bags of cement, drums of fuel, construction personnel even bodyguards armed with M-16's and AK-47's. That aside, Pickup trucks here are preferred by farm owners to carry supplies and produce. It is like what Jeremy Clarkson said buying a watch that can go a 100 meters deep when you are actually not a diver... you buy it because when the time comes that you need it... It is there ready for you. When we talk a practical car... buy a city car that would be cheap to maintain and has good mileage but it would not be practical to bring the same car to travel to 'say Bicol to see Mayon volcano or watch the windmills up north or just simply wading flooded streets. If you can afford, by all means get two cars but most Pinoys tend to get an all-in-one package, practical enough for the city but can go in place when you need it. Can you buy 2 vehicles for 1.6M?

Non-serious answer... yes you can! Pag mga tipong EON or ALTO, you can buy 3, maybe 4 units. Haha :p

    Jimny 4x4... 750k+ ...better offroad
Crosswind... 750k+ ...more spacious, more economical... or better yet... Mitsubishi L200 FB... tough, economical, big cargo space.

    Works for me.

Or, if you "need" a 4x4 pick to drive big loads up to farms on muddy roads, then this:

915k, four-door, AC, dropside, 4x4. 2.7 liter. Also available in 4x4 FB style.

Then with the 700k remaining, get a Jimny, just for the hell of it... or a Honda Jazz.

Or, if you don't need to go off-road at all... 1.6m? four Hyundai Eons.

if you can own a farm, you can afford more than 1.6M vehicle or more than 1 vehicle.

at 1.6M, you can buy 2 city sedans na. so pa'no na yun pa-kargo. eh di i-hire, minsan lang naman mangyari eto if moving or ordering something that needs delivery. so what's like 3k/day or say 10 days in a year, na 30K / year, may kasama pa pion yan together with a closed truck.

kung DIY person ka naman, eh lalong hindi worth ang 1.6M car, coz ikaw mismo gagasgas ng pickup mo na 4x4 kasi nga DIY ka eh, halos ikaw lang gumagalaw. so better buy a 2nd hand beater pickup to do those things.

what we're talking about here are luxury 4x4 pickup of which has no use talaga, unless yun na nga pangyabang din. ang malas dito eh, when you register your car to the LTO or govt. you practically buy real estate space at particular point in time (location) sa road users tax. tas, bibili ka pickup, na siksikin sa harap lang with limited leg room space for you and your family at the back. eh di parang penitensya yun, bili ka ng 1.6M car, para pahirapan pamilya mo. you cannot tell your son, o sige dun ka sa bed, eh di lang natunaw sa init yun.

trust me guys. been there done that. walang kwenta ang luxury 4x4 pickup. tama yun post ni nicky, bili na lang kayo ng Kia nasa taas, yan puwede pa, pwede pa drive, pwede pa sabitan ng pion.

    ----
