What a shame. Came down simply to the wrong product mix and ambitions that outweighed market demand.
If I'd brought Chery in, I would've simply brought in the QQs, some multicab clones and stocked the rest of the dealership with scooters. Sort of to reinforce the image of Chery being an aspirational brand for scooteristas looking to go upmarket. Wouldn't have bothered with cars that would obviously not sell (well) like the Cowin, the V5 and the RAV4 ( ).
Yet another business venture bites the dust... which will simply reinforce the stereotype that Chinese cars are junk.
