Hi.
I'm planning to take on the "taxi business" route. I've already talked to a driver and he said ok if ever I'd push through with this. Franchise, I have yet to know. The budget as of the moment fits, but if ever I'll push through or not will depend on the price of the franchise.
Questions:
1. I plan on getting a brand new Vios J -- performance, frugality wise I have no problems with that. But should I consider getting an Avanza instead? How much is the difference and what are the possible pros & cons I have if ever I go on with the Avanza.
2. How much is the franchise. Kahit ballpark figure lang.
3. Is 1.3k ok for the boundary?
4. Given that sobrang dami na taxi nowadays, ok pa rin ba ang taxi business (this will if ever be our first taxi cab...) or should I look away?
5. And lastly; Yung Vios ko ngayon mag-3 months na sa Sept. 7, wala pa rin plates or ORCR man lang. Kapag bumili ba ako ng Vios J taxi tapos abutin ng 4 months yung plaka does that mean 4 months ko rin hindi pwede ilabas yung unit? Or mas mabilis i-release kapag yellow plate? Pls. enlighten me on this.
Your thoughts are well appreciated. Thanks.

August 25th, 2012 05:36 PM #73Ang boundary namin for accent crdi is 1600 for 24 hours then sagot na ng driver ang car wash.
Bali may 2 drivers na magkarelyebo so everyday other day salitan sila sa byahe.
Other incentives is free boundary every coding day, free uniform, free boundary tuwing pasko at new year, at mas mababa ang boundary tuwing mahal na araw at kapag may kalamidad like typhoon/baha or kung may prob ang unit.
For the vios oil, kakakuha lang kasi namin ng vios so hindi pa decided kung anong magandang oil na pwede gamitin.
Pero most likely ang gamitin is regular mineral base oil lang basta tama ang API rating i think dapat walang maging prob.
I hope makapag advise din yung mga kapatid natin kung anong magandang cost effective engine oil for vios na gamit nila for taxi.
senya na now lang nakapag online ulit dito sobra busy kasi sa work hehe.
kamusta na yung unit mo? byabyahe naba?

August 25th, 2012 05:36 PM #74mas nagmahal na ang price ng franchise compare last year.
last year 120k lang bili namin pero ngayon nasa 145k ang kuha namin i think 2 months ago.
pero shempre need mo din mag laan ng budget for processing of sales and transfer, dropping and substitution, etc.
so for our new vios unit ang estimate budget namin for franchise including processing is 180k+.
For the boundary, our plan is 1500 boundary for 24 hours.
I would also love to hear the advice of our friends here na matagal na sa business na ito.
Sana makapag share sila ng expert opinion nila

November 25th, 2012 10:02 PM #75Hi Igor, Lotur,
bago lang ako dito tsikot.same as both, contemplating on taxi business pero buy lang ako ng franchise from existing taxis tas buy new unit to transfer franchise to. titingnan ko muna kung pano mangyayari sa una then if all is well or minimal headache lang, go na pa-isa-isa hangga't may funds (onti lang naman e, hehe). I agree, toyota pa rin for cheaper maintenance. LPG is cheaper daw in consumption so mas malamang tumagal ang drivers dahil mas malaki ang naiuuwi nila kaso I also heard na maraming kelangang i-maintain if LPG? medyo oonti lang pati ang kargahan, typically around pioneer or loob ng makati. anyway, nagre-research pa lang din ako, maybe we can all share info from time to time. malamang same ages tayo and would like to take the jump into business...goodluck sa ating lahat

Hi Guys,
Im planning to take a dip in trying my luck on this business as well. Actually 2 years ko na syang pinag-iisipan. I need your honest opinion on my thought please..
I am an employee earning more than 50k a month, I wanna sell my car to buy a new one pero naisip ko na having a new car means:
1) Monthly Payment
2) Gasoline expense
3) parking expense
4) luho (car mods)
Inshort, puro palabas yung money ko.. Instead, naisip ko mag taxi business and my reason is that, aside from my regular earning as an employee, may earning den ako sa sideline ko PLUS I get to lessen my expenses. Why? here's my explanation..
Having a taxi:
1) + Php1600/day
2) no more gasoline expenses
3) no more parking expenses
4) no more temptation to setup my car
In times of gimik naman, makakahiram ako sa mga kapatid ko. And if ever ayoko mag commute, I can always ask my driver para ihatid ako sa office and back but ofcourse, the boundary will be adjusted to Php1100/day. :D
If I buy a Bnew Vios 1.3j LMTD M/T, here's my computation:
Php1600/day * 24 days = Php38,400/month
- Php13,000 (Vios monthly DP for 5 years or 60 months)
- Php10,000 average monthly miscellenous expenses
NET INCOME PER MONTH (for the first 60 months) = Php15,400.00
NET INCOME PER MONTH (after 60 months and PLUS Php5000 for the expenses) = Php23,400.00
I dont know how long it would take me to reach my ROI but my main concern is, an extra 15k a month will help me keep 90% of my salary untouched. This will help me to save more in a shortest possible time as compared today na gumagastos ako sa parking, mods, gasoline and other unnessesary gastos.
So the more na makaipon ako, the more na makakapag dagdag ako ng unit OR if hindi ko kaya tong taxi business, use my savings to venture out on other business instead.
Do I make sense or my plan is bound to fail?
Thanks Guys!

^
I'd say, research first on how, where, and how much it is to get a taxi franchise.
