I was browsing the PAGASA weather forecaster/observer vacancies. I'm curious about how much a Salary Grade 15 makes.

Just wondering. It's the salary position for a "Level 4" weather observer. To me, being a weather observer is totally zero-stress compared to being a weather forecaster/meteorologist. The position I'd be based on my current job here would be considerably higher than a Level 4 Observer. But, I wouldn't mind being an observer.

Just weighing a lot of "what ifs" in my head. If we retired there, I'd be bored to death because I feel much too young to be not working at all. I'd work just to keep busy and so long as it's a job I'm happy in. I love earth sciences, esp weather.

AFAIK, Salary Grade 15 = basic salary of 13k (or thereabouts) and allowances of 2k, so it is around 15k.

JAP,- here's confirming what bros 1D4LV and Galactus's input.

I am getting P15K to about P20K per month, high end being in the Dept of Justice, so there is not much difference, really.

would you think people would die and spend so much money during campaigns just to earn 57k/month? hehehehehe.

and come to think of it, even simple baranggay kagawads are losing their butt out just to win these positions?

Luma na po ung salary grade posted above, ung salary grade 15 ay nasa 15k na po ngaun (basic) plus allowances (hazard pay -30% of basic salary, subsistence allowance - 150 pesos per day, PERA, longevity pay 10% of basic pay). Also, clothing allowance 5k and christmas bonus (basic salary plus 5,000). This is for PAG-ASA because of their Magna Carta for S&T workers. There are government agencies that do not have hazard pay, subsistence, and longevity allowances. Kaya magtanung2x ka muna.

Nice find, I was looking for this. (Tsikot Search is really GOOD! ) .I never tried to apply for a government job, that's why I dont have any idea what a salary grade and its actual value. From 1-33 pala. I thought it's up to 31 only (calendar) or 1-37 (jueteng ).
