it would appear, you have lots of money.
your problems are different from the majority that are one-scratch-one-meal types, even as you are both equally as stressed.

I don't have much savings but I have 0 debt. I save money by:

    1. Paying cash to get discount
    2. Taking advantage of credit card promos
    3. Buying where it is cheapest (wet market for fish, fruits and veggies)
    4. I don't travel if I am paying :P (yan ang malakas maka ubos ng pera - travel)
    5. Owning few clothes that lasts me years (just buy classic cuts)

I'm amazed at people who are able to buy cars and houses in their 30s or even 20s. My parents were able to build a house in their 30s already and the lot was given by my Dad's parents (my parents cars still came from my grandparents then).

I really look up to people who made it independently. I am such an underachiever when it comes to finances

    money buys you time dude

you pay people to do things for you and it frees up your time

if you're running several businesses all by yourself wala ka talaga oras

but money can buy you professional managers and secretaries

do you spend weekends doing laundry or washing your cars?

pay people to do that for you and you get your weekend back

    money buys other people's time

    money buys freedom

Agree 100%. Freedom to do what you WANT to do also means that you need resources to handle what NEEDS to be done (i.e. day care, house care, car care, subordinates to handle businesses and affairs). Time is not infinite. We are happy when we have time for ourselves rather than time for our jobs/chores/responsibilities.

parang last night ko lang nakita sa news na pwedeng magdagdag sa Pag-ibig, di ba fixed lang contribution dito?
kung employed, paano sasabihin sa company kasi alam ko may contribution din sila.
    magkano pala interest rate nila?

there are 2 ways to do this.. yung una i increasan mo lang yung monthly mo, just talk to your HR.. tell them magkano deduction gusto mo.. then they will deduct and remit it to Pagibig.. dito you can only withdraw pag naka 240 months contribution ka.. yung withdrawal will take 1 month processing until you get the cheque.

yung 2nd way eh yung Pagibig MP2 program nila.. eto eh exclusive savings lang.. pero you have to pay directly sa pagibig or sa bank.. this one has 5 years minimum contract.. parang time deposit..

Our HR offered that MP2 program, monthly ang contri ko is 1K and yes for 5 years yun.

On the 62nd month kinuha ko na, almost 70K din proceeds.

parang yun sabi ni Trump. Businessman uses OPT. other people's time. Investor uses OPM - other peoples money. A true entrepreneur juggles both. hehe
