hi, good morning, am new here but been reading some of the threads and find it very interesting...
my question lang po ako, my ride is 'rolla gli 96 and its stock alarm system is ALPINE. however, medyo ayaw na gumana pareho yung remote controller. parang loose contact dun sa buttons e. is there a way na marerepair pa to? tumawag kasi ako sa toyota alabang & they told me that replacement remote cost 2800+/pc. thnx.
Originally posted by isketi I have used 2 Viper 300s (yung wala pang Code hopping feature), a Viper 300+, & now a Viper 300HF. The last 2 have the Code Hopping feature. All of them came from 1 store & installed by the same installer. Napansin ko yung mga walang Code Hopping mas malayo ang range ng remote, almost twice that of the ones w/ Code Hopping. I asked the dealer & installer about this, sabi nila ganun daw talaga pag may Code Hopping kasi daw each time you press a button, the system works on a diff frequency so 'naghahanapan' yung remote & module. Can someone pls comment on this? TY.
yep dun sa manual ng Viper mismo nakalagay dun na pag switch off mo yung code hopping feature mas longer ang range nya. mas complicated kase yung signal pag naka on yung code hopping feature. Ok na rin ito kahit shorter range at least mas secure.
Originally posted by boybi anong alarm ba ang meron ganitong features?
1. separate arm and disarm buttons.
2. ability to mute sounds when arming/disarming (para hindi nakaka istorbo sa gabi) - ganito yung sa crv namin, renegade alarm.
3. ability to disable warning sounds on the remote, yun bang hindi sya magiingay kapag natamaan. (para hindi nakaka istorbo sa mga hospitals/schools/etc.) - ganito ang sa code alarm
1. Not sure but is this is a big issue?
2. If I'm not mistaken, most alarms today have this ability (silent arm/disarm)
3. Clifford
I'm planning on having an Autopage alarm (405) installed on my City'03. I'm having it installed for 4000 php (inlcusive of alarm, install, and a device which i forgot)
Any comments on this? is this a good deal? should i get the Honda alarm/install(Titan), instead? should i be concerned that a non-honda tech will be tinkering with my car?
sir ssaloon.. yun din ang tanung ko dapat eh hehe kasi im planning to install an alarm din dun samin pero mukhang kelangan ata sa casa talaga para walang warranty na mavovoid
Originally posted by ssaloon hindi ba mavovoid ang electrical warranty mo kung kinabitan mo ng alarm outside of the casa within the warranty period?
Originally posted by afrasay di pa naman siya sira, april ko lang siya nabili. may readout siya sa remote. there you can see which area has been "violated". yun price kasi sa banawe na 9k medyo mahal compared to the others na 3k to 5k ang price range.
Pare saan mo sya nabili at pina install? La naman bang problema? Thanks.
How does remote start work? Let's say you start your car using your transmitter. Paano na when you get inside the vehicle na? Do you shut it off first, then start it again using the key in the ignition? When you remote start, do the doors remain shut, and the alarm active?
What is happening to tsikot??? I had just replied with a loooooong explanation on auto start feature and it does not get posted?
Anyway, (*sigh*)... back to the topic at hand.
Assuming that you have parked your vehicle, placed in neutral position or "P" in auto tranny units and activated your alarm. Different kinds of alarms have different kinds of features and buttons for activating the auto start function. Press that button once you hear the engine crank and running. While some other brands have the auto delay which will turn your A/C on after the engine has been running for 5 minutes. While some other brands will set your A/C on as the same time the engine is running. Some auto start features have 15 minute idle cut off time while others will remain at idle until you switch the engine off manually.
Now, when entering back to the vehicle, deactivate the alarm or unlock the doors using the remote switch as you would normally do. Keyhole acess is a no-no, your vehicle's alarm is still in active mode and the engine will shut and alarm horn will go off as if someone is attempting to steal your car.
Once you have opened the doors and sat in. Place the key to ON position to automatically switch off the protect mode from your alarm and drive off as you would start an ordinary car. No need to crank up the engine again, while the engine is at idle.
