using 100w bulbs is not a good idea for long term use. The culprit here is the amount of heat it generates and not just UV coming out of the lamps. UV protection is mostly for the polycarbonate lens of your headlights, para hindi manilaw kaagad from UV coming out of the bulbs. The lens also has an outer coating (for most headlamps) to protect it from the suns UV. If you use 100w bulbs with UV coating on the bulbs, 100w pa rin yun, you dont reduce the UV coming out of the bulbs to the same levels as that of a 55w bulbs with UV coating. I have seen many headlamps with burnt chrome reflector shield coz of 100w bulbs and yellowing lens in less than 2 years. OT yung comments ko but I think it will help others.
Going back to the yellow bulbs and all weather bulbs, I would still use bulbs near the 4300k color temp. Always works for me. Just get a good performing halogen bulb.
to my experienced too, my car is starex, i changed my stocks 65 watts bulb to 100watts ordinary bulb, ive been driving bicol manila and vice versa at night, time ranges from 8 hours to 12 hours, almost every month for 7 years, so far havent noticed any changes on my headlight color yet.
Based on experience, for pure yellow bulbs, I would only buy Polarg, Catz or PIAA brand.
mga sir, ask ko lang po if san ako makakabili ng polarg na yellow? then, baka po may alam kayo kung san pwede mag pa detail ng hl, o magpalinis ng loob ng hl, madumi at medyo malabo na po kasi hl ko after kunin sa shop eh, if possible, cavite area po. thanks!!!!!!!
