Pansin ko marami bumili ng HID dahil lang sa porma, pataas pa sila ng kelvin rating...

Ako dati ko pa gusto mag HID dahil most of my driving is done at night, pero since hindi projector headlights ko I opted for hella driving lights instead.

It really depends on what you are looking for.. form or functionality. Locally mukhang mostly porma lang ang habol...

Maliban sa HID isa pang kinaiinisan ko ay yung mga naka 80/100watt bulbs sa low beam, too much glare!

i've read about it too at the daniel stern website that HID would perform better if housed in a projector type lens.

why is it though that in some japanese cars OEM HIDs are still housed in regular crystal lenses like the current 2.0S A/T civic? if you search Japan Honda and Toyota sites the HID option they offer uses the regular crystal headlights and not those projector types

hmmm... i think some dealers need to be educated then. i have been tempted so many times to purchase and install one on my ride. But up to this point i was able to weigh things. Porma or Practicality? for me practicality still weighed more than porma. I think it will stay that way.:charing:

Please mention the site where that is stated.

The HCPI people need to be educated a bit more... if you look at the Honda USA website, even their top of the line Honda Coupe EX (with the 197hp engine mind you) is not HID equipped.

honda uk offers HID headlamps as an option as well though i'm not too sure whether the european version civics have projector lenses.

Nope. Those are not projectors. They are conventional reflectors with a blacked-out background.

naka dual halo ako with HID for my civic 98'. di sobra lakas.
habol ko nlng dun sa projector ko is the halo and di masyado nakakasilaw para sa iba tao....
mas nalalakasan pa ako sa mga OEM na headlight casings w/ HID...

OEM installed hid in crystallized headlamps like the top of the line altis has a bigger diffuser. and it uses either D2R or D2S bulbs which also has a small portion covered on the bulb itself. as far as glare is concern i dont get it, saw some mazda3 with factory projector lamps using aftermarket HID's installed that still produces a lot of glare..
IMO using aftermarket projector lamps with hid's still wont produce enough brightness due to some projector lamp's light output is so scattered that in most cases it produces a V shaped light pattern. so better find one that produces a good light output.

definitely blue will be dimmer at wet asphalt. 6000K would be the most acceptable color for me.

Tanggalin yung bulb cap? That's just making it worse.

Akala ko ba gusto mo ng all weather so you can see better? Now you want that cap removed. That will cause glare to oncoming traffic (they have a reason to put that bulb cap).
