Vitara vs Feroza (95 - 98 model)

Sirs, I just want to know your inputs and comments regarding the 2 SUVs, I know there are lots of experts here. We are planning to buy a 2nd hand vehicle and we are choosing between Vitara or Feroza around 95 to 98 model...which has the best in over all performance when it comes to...
- Reliability
- Efficiency
- Less fuel consumption
- Engine power esp in long drives, uphills, etc
- Stability
- Matic or manual
- Spare parts availability even in small auto shops, ano po ba ang mas madaling hanapin pyesa sa dalawa?

I heard they are both 4x4, right...
Also, weve seen a 2 door Vitara, mas ok po ba yun kesa sa 4 door?

We would appreciate if you could gives us more informations about your experiences or knowledge with the said 2 cars. Although they have almost the same price range (120k to 170k), but still mahirap na pong magkamali ng bili na pagsisisihan lang po in the end :-)

We had both, eto po ma share ko sayo boss.
Kung off roader kayo definitely sa feroza ko, sa tibay din tangke talaga, cheaper pa i-maintain dahil carb engine, napakatibay ng pangilalim at overall matibay talaga, pogi pa ng porma. Both are 4x4 na may option to just use 4x2 pag city, pede din 4x4Low or 4x4High for offroad, 1.6 engines.
Some cons ng feroza for me, medyo mabagal dahil low speed gearing/differential which is a pro naman kung off road ang paguusapan, built ang suspension ng feroza for offroading medyo matagtag yung 96 and older models, 97up improved suspension, nagkaron na kasi kami ng 95,97,98 models ng feroza, adik nga sa feroza ang ganda kasi, if not for the low speed gearing lang talaga angas pang everyday nito.
Yun naman vitara tumagal samin before pamasok ko ng college yung feroza then vitara.
Pros ng vitara, kung daily driver mas built ito for city road/highway use, Im not saying na di sya ok pang offroad.
Matulin parang kotse din dala mo, di matagtag suspension, 5door comfortable pang pamilya more spacious din loob compared sa feroza.

In short boss, kung pang extreme offroad or gamitin nyo sa farm sa feroza, kung mostly city/highway pang pamilya sa vitara.

Kung feroza lahat Manual Tranny kung tama ako. Kung nasa tamang tuneup maayos naman fuel consumption unlike kasi sa efi mas demanding sa alaga at tuneup ang carb type kung gusto mo matipid lagi konsumo. Sa pyesa marami pa makunan sa pasay(jam, felson atbp) sa banawe(fordmaster, motorOne atbp) sa mechanic anjan si tata rudy dating taga columbia motors casa mechanic talaga, visit po kayo sa feroza-ph.tk or daihatsuclubph.com dami makakatulong sainyo.

Sa vitara naman I would choose the Manual Transmission dahil mas maselan at malakas konsumo ng Automatic Tranny mas mahal din pag nasira, sa hatak sa manual pa din ako, minsan pag mahina hatak at malakas sa gas ang sisi nasa automatic tranny baka kelangan magpalit ng Automatic transmission fluid o baka may problema tranny, sa manual transmission mas madali malaman ang cause kung sakali man magkaproblema. Marami pyesa vitara, sa banawe try fronte atbp sa pasay goodgear.
Kung ako, ill get the 5-door vitara local release, nothing against jdm/converted vitaras/escudo na mostly 3-doors mahirap kasi dito pag di maayos conversion and for safety lalu byahe ko sa highway @ 100-120kph.
Marami ko nakita sa sulit.com Local 5-door Vitara @ 150-200k get the 97up models tingin ko kasya budget mo boss.

Idol ko to lalo pag naka-17s.

May Feroza yung pastor namin, sirain yung sa kanya. Na-overhaul na pero naguusok pa rin.

That's one case, pero I know case to case naman depende kung maalaga yung previous owner.
