not sure of the LEC.
323 ona nutshell:
pros: sporty suspension, great handling, abs, airbag for the glxi, mas guwapo ka
cons: consumes gas a liitle higher that the average 1.3 or 1.6 but not that farr off tfrom tha average.

Would this be a comparison of the LEC with the 1st or 2nd Gen 323?
In any case, my vote goes to the 323. (Biased )
But kidding aside here's why:
-more features (all power, headlight on buzzer, courtesy and ignition lamps etc.)
-more spacious
-great to dress up
-feels better to drive (i've driven both, and IMHO the 323's 1.3ltr feels even more responsive than the Sentra's JX model with a 1.4ltr engine).
-looks better in and out (although this is subjective)
Common problems with the 323 include:
-rust buildup around wheel well
-gear bushings get worn out easily

July 30th, 2007 11:39 AM #6Dont know about the 323, we had a sentra lec before, it had almost 300,000km on it by the time we got rid of it pero it was still in good condition.

either.
may service car ang buong angkan namin dati na sentra LEC PS.
from 1997-2004 walang problems. simpleng oil change at tune up lang kailangan.
323 box type sedan, ok din. although, mas mukhang luma than the sentra. i prefer this. sarap pagandahin at pabilisin

I'd pick whichever's in better condition. Used one of the first batches 1.6 323's back in collage, great handling, but fuel economy and aircon are big let downs. Aircon was remedied with a change of compressor after the orig died. And as mentioned, it rusts at the rear fender.
Currently drive an LEC, I prefer the handling and the ride of the 323, but I like the aircon and fuel economy of the sentra better.
Yun 323 namin ay CBU, baka kaya mahina yun aircon. Like what I mentioned earlier, I'd still pick whichever's in better shape.
IIRC they're with AVID. The reported numbers in the TG article are from CAMPI.
