Kung ellegant style ang personality, ok ang Sta Fe. Pero pag may offroad situation even 20% ng uses ng car better get the 4x4 or AWD capability.

wow heated ang hot topic.
btt: depende sa usage. sta fe. comfort and softroader. monty naman rugged design.
Kung bahain area then the height clearance of the monty would help also unpaved roads. sta fe naman, katulad ng Rav and crv, it's for softroader with comfort in mind. It's up to the ts kung ano mas kailangan niya.
Montero- ruggedness, higher ground clearance and lower priced, Santa Fe- refinement and comfort but higher priced, you choose.....
To be honest... kami na ngayon ni esmi nagdedebate... she is considering the flood in metro pero ako i want yun features & look ng SF. Anyway, We decide to buy the car by the end of the year to evaluate more yun mga cars at scenario! All that I need to know were already collected! Thanks for sharing all your thoughts!
5 seater lang pala ang sta fe.
Bibili na lang ako ng European car with that 2.2m.
^
saw a montero in youtube where the flood was already beyond the hood level and still it was going and it was the only car that dared to pass not even a trcuk or bus would ply such road(during ondoy) with this proof i think it's safe to say montero has the upper-hand since it was tested as such and it's an old school diesel(but electrically controlled) hence less complications
as for the sta. fe, it just rolled up the line hence the only proving ground it has been is with hyundai's test centers but who knows in the coming years
True, the difference in ride height as regards flooding is negligible. Magdadalawang-isip ka kung ilulusong mo.

This was last August 2012. The left side of the car is parked on a higher ground.
Sa tapat ng bahay namin yan mga sirs. This is the 2nd time na bumaha sa amin, first was nung Ondoy.
Bago ako nakarating sa bahay, I needed to cross a flooded road in which water was very high.
Nung sumilip ako sa window (since the rain has stopped), yung tubig ka level na ng rims (yung upper most part).
mag MRT na lang at LRT kayo para matapos na yang awayan nyo at least doon walang overtake at walang mausok
