August 13th, 2012 09:32 PM #32JUST WOULD LIKE to confirm:
is it true na walang stock ang planta ng Mitsubishi ng Montero Sport Non VGT Manual transmission?
been to most dealers here in NCR, wala daw talaga. just would like to confirm from people who plan to purchase this said variant

It has been two weeks since I bought Wifey her MS NON-VGT AT.
Pero kagabi ko lang na drive pa-cavite ng mag-relyebo kami ...
Findings as compared to her previous truck (Navara 4x2 AT) and my friend's Fort (09)
1. Medyo mabigat nga ang menobela at mabagal bumalik coming from a turn
2. Though obviously not powerful as Nav, relaxed ang MS NON-VGT sa akyatan, medyo talo nga lang sa acceleration as compared to Nav
3. Very good visibility, especially if I raise the seat
4. Less Matagtag as compared to NAV, pero better handling ang Nav
5. halos pareho lang ng (acceptable) tagtag with Fort, mapa, harap or likod
6. Better looking interior, Dashboard, and tactile feel ang Fort, even as compared to my neighbor's MS GLS-V
7. Medyo spongy ang feel ng brakes ng MS
8. Better 3rd row seat as compared to Fort
Not complaining though ...
When you consider the price, it is still a very good ~1.2M package.
And it is still more practical than buying a pickup and a Carryboy Canopy
Although if I'll be comparing the MS GLS-V and the upcoming Fort 2.5G VNT, mukhang mas magandang ~1.4M package ang Fort

August 17th, 2012 03:23 PM #34ok lang yan, mabigat ang manibela. given na yan sa malaki gulong, di hamak na mas malaki gulong ng montero sa lahat ng crossover diesels. basta sulit yan car na yan. kaya nga binenta sa Russia yan eh, kasi no non-sense ang mga Russians pagdating sa durability ng sasakyan. for being a communist for so long, hindi sila gano influenced sa mga marketing kuno ng ibang cars, they practically had 1 popular suv made in Russia for two decades eh, kaya yan Montero type na type nila yan.

Sir mac i have to disagree with what you said na halos pareho lang sa acceptable tagtag. I have driven both mas malambot para sakin suspension and ride ng MS natin kumapara sa Fort. Laki ng difference IMO.
OT: ganda naman ng avatar niyo. Sa pinas ba yan sir? Hehe :D

I cant argue with you on that ...

August 24th, 2012 10:20 AM #40mas panalo sa fetures ang montero over fortuner for me. wala na atang GLX-V. GLS-V na ang base model for VGT variants which is A/T. if you don't prioritize power, ok na ang non-vgt. hindi naman underpowered yan e. mas malakas lang ang VGT plus the additional features like activated na ang gps, audio controls and cruise control sa steering wheel, spare tire cover, etc.
