since you have limited your choice between the two, i'll go with the lancer since it spacious and I've read that the new lancer eats about 19km/liter on an ave speed of 90km. HTH

19 km/L? Sure, if it's on a straight highway road at constant speed with just 1 passenger on board and no traffic.

It's just not realistic to expect 19 km/L on normal driving in a car with a 1.6L engine that only has a 4-speed auto and weighs 1235 kg.

In reality, you're looking at 8-10 km/L in the city and about 12-15 km/L on the highway.
