May 17th, 2008 09:22 PM #41Since most of us are advocates of test driving, suggestion ko lang pag pumipili ng van, try niyo din yung Stavic. It's not the prettiest out there pero the value and performance are very good, specially the AT.

June 2nd, 2008 03:35 PM #43how come the Hiace with D4-D and all only gets 102ps? while the Grand Starex TCi which doesn't even have direct injection already acheives 101ps? was there a mistake when Toyota made its specs sheet?

Naayos na ba yung suspension/kalampag problems ng Starex? It used to be a problem in the older generations, I wonder if it's been resolved with the Grand Starex.

When it comes to engine technology, medyo late pa hyundai dyan. Madalas di sila yung nagdevelop nung technology. As a proof to that is the International Engine Awards.

siguro kaya nasasabi nung iba na makalampag ang starex is due to its SOFT suspension unlike sa Toyota na STIFF.. talagang trade-off the soft suspension ang kalampag same with Honda City compared to Toyota Vios.. Yung city eh makalampag pero sarap ng ride unlike vios na hindi makalampag pero matagtag..
sa engine naman AFAIK mas lamang parin ang CRDi ng starex due to their BOSCH system compared to D4D ng Toyota na Denso... sa totoo lang BOSCH is one of the major developer in CRDi technology compared sa Denso that is why no wonder some D4D engines have failed in the field and up to now they don't know why... CRDi and D4D are basically the same in principle its just they have different systems used

October 21st, 2008 10:41 PM #50Ridden one grandia gl manual, a lot of rattles are evident amd the engine is on the noisy side. I find the previous generation GRX a lot smoother in terms of engine and ride. Never ridden a grand starex though.
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
